Chiefs assistant coach Wayne Smith was disappointed with the champions' preparation in the build-up to their shock loss last week.
The 2012 and 2013 Super Rugby winners lost 19-15 to the Force in Perth in a match they went into as favourites.
"The preparation was not as good as it has been," said Smith.
"We let our standards down in every area. The Force are proving a genuine contender, they were almost Chiefs-like in the way they played." (Please Smithy the Force would hardly be flattered by thinking they played like the chifies. my how puffed up this blowhard is! hahahahahahaha)
The Chiefs are yet to really fire on all cylinders this season, with narrow wins over the Crusaders and Highlanders coming before a 36-20 win over the Stormers and the loss to the Force. (They are doing their best no doubt but possiblyt not as good as they think they are?)
Now the champions travel to Loftus to face the Bulls, with Smith conscious of their effective lineout run by Victor Matfield (Oh boy here we go a matfield groupie thinking the chiefs BIG fear is the lineouts being RUN by voctor -they are hopeless these groupies!!!).
"It never comes easy at Loftus. Every win you have there is a special occasion," added Smith.
"There's a fair bit of anxiety this week and when you prepare like that the players know every place is up for selection competition.
"We are up against the best line-out in the competition which has got the best line-out forward [Victor Matfield] running it.(How many steals one has to ask? Their anxiety can be found elsewhere and its the physicality of the bulle causing all this distress for the wee chieifes and their pap pack)
"We will have to execute better under pressure (Lets see how many lineouts the lose - much more to trhe pressure issue than lineouts!!!!). We have got to step up. If we go in like we did against the Force we'll have no show.
"It is always difficult after a loss like that. You can talk all you like, you have to perform on the field.
I think even the kbbs will admit the chiefies are vey anxious about the bulle trampling them? Dont worry chiefies it will all be over in 80 minutes.
