I'm man enough to admit i got it wrong but boy what a thumping! i still think samoa could have beaten south africa at sea level but i dont think altitude was the reason we lost. how do you guys think you will do in the rugby championship? new zealand seem more vulnerable than I can remember but maybe australia will have jake as their coach! It could be really exciting this year. oh and whats the deal with the anti alberts and morne stuff? i thought they were both pretty great. i still think he is on the slow side and not always playing with commitment but he is a machine! morne did a good job on defence with jean. maybe you guys have a dream centre pairing with jean and the other fella at 13. it could make a world of difference in the RC dont you think?
Well done Boks
Ihi the chances of the Samoans beating South Africa at sea level were Zip as well. Once Meyer sorted out his pack it was game over regardless of altitude. The gap between the quality of the two teams is simply too large. Samoa by playing well against the Scots and italy and the fact the Scots gave us a hard time focused the issues and the resolve. Boks were up fo the game.
Of course the Boks can always count on playing the Samoans with thembeing down to 14 men as the ysimply cannot play clean rugby. When wil lthey learn.
I agree the wee abs are vunerable. However they are not the only ones with problems. Oz are suffering a number of injuries and so have we. Its a case of who will be left standing. Abs dont seem to be getting injuries but are at a beginning of a renewal process, pack looks a bit weak and backs can be shut down.
Anyhow it would appear the Rugby Championship is wide open.
Alberts must be used in the right matches. Meyer has to work this one out. Unfortuantely we have still not realised one size doesnt fit all. Our loose trio needs to be tweaked acccording to condition and opposition. Fortunately though we seem to be understanding we do not need a pap wannabe backline player at lock. A big plus as we were severely hampered by wee matfield for about a decade.
One wonders if Jean will mak the WC. In any event its looking like Serfontein and JJ will do well. I just hope that when the next Spies arrives they dont take him from wing bulk him up and play him number 8!!!! However what is very pelasing is the Bok backline is scoring great tries. Put in a dynamic scrummie and it gets better.
gentleman its far to early to start singing praises...the game pattern looks more dynamic and the level and intensity was massive but we cant compare our opposing teams to the french or the touring lions...massive difference in terms of quality. we will have to wait and see come the castle tournament on how and if meyer will stick to this new pattern of he will turn back to the romp a slomp game pattern of last year that gave him a 66% winning %...time will tell at least we are a couple of months away at least
shit beeno gives us some credit its not soo impossible to beat springboks we would have done it in the world cup if the ref fucking used his eyes and carded bismarck! that red card killed our momentum and you guys would have been sent home. we did alot of good stuff and at sea level it would at least be more closer on the scoreboard. and no dirtiest team either you guys have a bad rep too no smoke without fire.
