What an enjoyable event, all action and done and dusted in 3 days. San Fran looked spectacular and the whole thing seemed to be conducted in a great spirit.....loved the Blue Angel.
Frankly NZ never looked like losing with a power advantage over England and a pace advantage over Fiji. That said England's inability to offset NZ's lineout skills was key at a few points.
Taking the top prize in the ladies contest as well underscores NZ's competitiveness. Without some of the 'hard' play that continues to mar the Fijian game.
The Blitzies are a frantic lot....today all that energy didn't serve them well. Even a well deserved win over Fiji didn'tfeel particularly good after England. That said, nobody wins more. Bronze medal games than the Boks, Blitz or non Blitz.
