The best 2 teams in the world played a very good series. Warren Gatland seemed to get his selections & strategy right proving he is an excellent coach. When asked if he would like to coach the next tour, he said he was undefeated 2 out 2 so he probably would. (This would, of course, be in SA).
The All Blacks lost the battle of the breakdown and were less composed due to this. Last week's wet weather(+14 players) seemed to allow the Lions to get momentum, which they carried across into the third test. ABS looked under pressure in the third test, much less composed from what we have seen from AB in recent years.
Although it was officially a draw, the All Blacks did win on point difference. (Please note: Beeno/Hawka).
To beat the All Blacks you have to beat them at the breakdown. That is hard. The All Blacks should/could get better as the year continues.

Yes ... sadly the series has come and gone.
Some very poor handeling skills by both teams made the series messy. That is what pressure from an expectant home crowd can bring down on you. In the end the All Blacks didn't handle it very well which is rather surprising being as experienced as they are.
The British Lions deserved at least a draw.
My hearty congrats go out to them. The odds were stacked heavily against them but they managed to overcome.
I just wish there was a way to keep this team together ... but I guess that's what makes the British and Irish Lions so special ... a gathering of mud islands best ... for a short tour ... every 4 years ... and then they all go their own way again.
Can only imagine what this side would have done to the Goats.

What "odds" were stacked "heavily" against them CC? We seem to be hearing the same old tape playing over and over.

Beanhead, the Lions never play at home because it is against the Lions principles....by home u mean England? Wales? Ireland? Scotland?.....take your pick hakwa being the much needed voice of reason for Beeno's confused mind
