What a stunning performance from the boyos!


Thanks to load-shedding, I had to watch the game on my phone but it didn't stop my heart from swelling with pride!


The tiny little nation with a population of just over 3 million people winning a Grand Slam ahead of Scotland (pop 5.4m), Ireland (pop 6.5m), England (pop 55m), Italy (pop 60m) and France (pop 67m) is right up there with Croatia reaching the FIFA WC finals or Bahamas winning the womens 4x100 relay at the Olympics . . . and this is the 27th time(!) that Wales has won the Home/Five/Six Nations title and their 12th Grand Slam!

Just reinforces what I've always said, that rugby is a game of passion. You can have all the talent and skill in the world but a team with gees or hwyl will still knock you over. Can't say the same for football, cricket or any other team sport. That's what makes rugby such a great game.

We South Africans used to have a lot to be proud about but in this modern age of violence, nepotism, crime, incompetence and corruption, why are we surprised when our rugby players don't play with the kind of pride and passion we saw from the Welsh today?

. . . and just to add that everything I've said about the wonderful Welsh on this thread, the same applies to the plucky Scots (except with a few minutes still to go).

Hard luck Scotland the Brave. Heroic defence but it wasn't quite enough.
Still, a draw at Twickenham by an injury-ravaged B team is still something to be very proud of.

On reading that again I sincerely hope that no-one gets the impression I was a supporter of apartheid or the apartheid government, but for all our shortcomings we still had a thriving economy, a world-class infrastructure and law and order . . . in many cases only made possible by the hard work and sacrifices of the non-white disenfranchised population.

Brilliant comeback by Scotland ,as has been said by an injury ravaged side. Wales were deserved winners of the GrandSlam even tho I am Irish!! They were much the better side and as I live here in Wales I am very proud. A great 6 Nations bring on the RWC which we can all look forward to.

MO(AN), a lot of arrogant Southern Hemisphere rugby fans would write off the chances of a Six Nations RWC champion but the truth is we can only envy the passion of your nations . . . not to mention the packed stadiums you draw for every single Test match.
I will be supporting my beloved Springboks in RWC 2019 but if they stumble, I'll definitely be pulling for Wales or any other British team.

A few punters are crowing his arrival and wants him to replace for Jessica Kriel. That Jessica has by far been our best 13 so far. Looks like he lacks the same apatite as the rest of the brothers in not willing to tackle or put their body on the line. I would rather go for Mapoe. Had a huge impact for the lions.
