What are the similarity between Francois Steyn and Morne Steyn

They both are recognized match losers.    I was watching the 2007 Super Rugby Final and what did dear Fransie do to the Sharks?   Minute 80 - the Bulls kicked the ball downfield and Steyn caught it.   All he had to do was to kick the ball into touch from the Sharks 22 and the Sharks would have won the game.   So guess what - he did not find touch and the Bulls counter-attacked and Habana scored a try converted by Hougaard,   Bulls won by ONE point.   That not being the only foul up by Steyn that day,   He missed the try conversion after Van den Bergh scored  earlier.

However, that brings us to the Famous 2014 Perth test - where Morne made a similar bugger-up resulting in an Aussie victory.  

Bad news - both the Steyns.  They are Steyn removers - removing the winning chances of the teams they play in.

I was never totally against both Frans and Morne..and personally am against ugly remarks passed to players whoever they are that are far more talented than the couch potatoes and lounge lizards ever were even in youthful years....I respect any sportsman or woman that is good enough to play for their province, club and franchise and especially those that represent their respective countries.

.Frans and Morne both were endowed with some talent ...the one was physically talented but did stupid things at times without thinking and the other played the kicking game well but was boring and robotic, certainly not the type of rugby I enjoyed...never liked Naas Botha either although he was very effective...I grew up in a school that always played attractive running rugby and followed attractive Natal rugby since the days of Keith Oxlee...yes Natal hardly ever featured in the old physical game but always was entertaining.

Winning was always a bonus but the style of running rugby entertains....we are all different and some see rugby dominance as a way to bang others over the head with...others enjoy rugby in the game essence alone and enjoy the game as a game. If you only limit your interest to your own country you miss a hell of a lot of good rugby...some here don't have a clue what goes on in the bigger picture and outside their own country....there's so much more.

I always was a Frans Steyn supporter until his return from frnace in 2012.    However since 2012 Steyn has produced nothing of substance in the Springbok team  and for the Sharks and was in fact a drawback for those two teams.   That made me change my mind about his performances and he is definitely not international standard anymore.   Fact js his performasnces in June - when he played from the bench was poor as well.  

As to Morne Steyn - he was always a kicking machine without much thinking ability expected from a flyhalf.    He was and is a derawbck as a backline player and fact si the man is reired from international rugby in nay event.  

Unlike you I do not believe that players should be selected on reputation and that they must be considered with due regard to PERFORMANCE.
