I play blindside Flanker. Played Prop in High school for a few years ,then switched to Flank. I was a heavy kid, then lost some weight.  Stopped playing for about 6 or 7 years, then started back up again with my Div. 2 city team. Love every minute of it! :)

So who has played, or still plays, and what position and for how long? What team? Any coaches in here?

i played center/wing in NZ, but played  flanker/No8 at high school. i moved to melbourne 6 years ago and rugby union was not very popular, had to travel an hour to training after work and back, so i played rugby league instead as its a lot more established auusie wide and in melbourne and there was a rugby league club 5mins drive from my home.
also playd a little AFL OZ aussie rules sport, weird sport but no arm tackles and no off side was heaps of fun, especially as rugby players a way more physical. :)

I started out at 8 in my junior years.

Moved to hooker from grade 10 / standard 8 and I played there for the rest of my career, including 6 years (over 100 games) at club level.

I stopped playing when I got married in 2010.

Coached for 3 years as well.

I have not played in over 10 years, shoulder and knee injury got the better of me in my mid 20's. Played centre, EP Schools, SWD while in the army and then saw my arse at Uni with bad shoulder injury.

Been coaching for past 5 years or so. Coach my sons club side, we have just finished the U15 season. One of if not the best U15 side in the UK and no thats got stuff all to do with me. Have one hell of a group of players. 10 of the squad are in the Northampton Saints Academy side and 3 have been selected for the initial England U17 squad. Two centres and a lock. The lock is 15, and is 6ft 8 and weighs 105kg, our tighthead prop weighs 115kg and shot puts for England U16.

Becs has seen this side in action. I reckon the 3 selected for the England squad will go all the way, in particular the one centre, he is awesome

There are 5 of us that coach the U15's we have about 60 players and run 3 teams, so its a group effort. Plenty of rugby is played in the UK by the kids as they play for school on Sat and club on Sun. My sons school side lost in the semi's of the national comp here. There were missing some key players and did not have depth in their squad as it is a relatively small school - kids lost it in injury time where an opposition player ran through the whole side from his own 22

The school has a new director of rugby starting who is a Saffa from Cape Town, I have not met him yet

I played once at School...Boys vs Girls. Being a girl, we just got picked up and carried about a bit before being dropped in the mud by the boys ! I played Centre though.......oh and I do have the dubious honour of having dropped a goal at Franklins Gardens, home of my team, Northampton Saints. A drunk man bet me I couldn't do it, so I did :)

I began my career as a gunman

I was promoted up the ranks until I became commanding officer in 1999.

I represented my team in over 28 various challenges between 1995 and 2010.

Since September 2010, I have been in unofficial hiding.

My people are awaiting my comeback.
