What happened to South African S18 scrum?

Some stats, as extracted from NZ Herald.
Scrum success %:
Chiefs 97%Landers 97%Stormers 95%Saders 94%Only one SA team in top 4. Can you believe the wee stormers made it into the top 4.

 No one took the bait  
What happened to all the bleating about kiwi teams not having a tight five, etc. I guess we fixed that problem.

But seriously, it's a surprise to see the wee stormers near the top in scrum success as I always thought they had a small pack. Could be just the backs are micros.

I think next year we are going to see South African teams that are much stronger. 
It will be a return to the power packs we have known in the past, that used to throw the Hurricanes and Blues forwards around like rack dolls.
The British Lions proved that New Zealand have many forwards that can play running rugby, but they lack depth when things get physical.
Take away Retalick and Whitelock, and the All Blacks basically have loose forwards at lock

SB, I am hopeful for the SA teams next year. I think the reduction in teams is going to help massively. Also, there are signs that our Super Rugby teams are improving their competitiveness even under the current format. I live in hope.
