The great supporters of Toulon must be stung by their latest show against Wasps. They were playing traditional rugby and it did not work out at all. Slow and kicking away possession is not the way to go in playing rugby and that was very evident in the case of the match concerned.
Wasps played the required modern rugby and showed up Toulon badly.

...not so clever mike ,French sides don't travel well as a rule...secondly the bumble brothers Quadoh Cooper and Bryan Habana play for Toulon ...thirdly the Wasps invested so well in the off season they could be European Champions on this form... Toulon no match for the Blues brothers Charles Piutau, Frank Halai and co...was a thrashing and Wasps go four points clear at the top of Pool Five..

Chippo
Maybe - but Wilkinson in the end was a kicking flyhalf and the game was lost because of too much kicking away of balls to the Wasps and allowing them to counter-attack. Toulon tried what worked in the past - play stampkar rugby - and it did not work out. That approach to rugby will have to change on their part.
