He was colossal when he appeared for the Boks last year. I haven't seen a Bok lock with that kind of power since Flip. One wonders what these players have to do to get into the team, and seeing as Snyman will never play for the Boks again, JVR looked the best bet to oust the placeholder Lood. What a formidable partnership he'd form with Eben. We are in dire need of some grunt, energy and mongrel in the pack. If we want to be competitive at the world Cup, we need to be rectifying our lack of presence on the gain line. This is the core of traditional Bok rugby, a fast and oppressive defensive line.

Nico J van Rensburg. Capped last year, and obliterated everything in his path. I haven't seen such strength since Venter singlehandedly shunted a maul into touch by himself!
