I m posting this for the information of forum members not resident in SA – fully realizing this is not a rugby issue.
The situation in three metros where weekly opinion polls are done iro the local Government elections the situation is as follows:-
Johannesburg Metro
2011 election - ANC - 59,26%
DA - 34,26%
Poll this week - 31%
The DA is at present at 32% in the polls and the EFF at 9%
Pretoria Metro
2011 election - ANC - 56,46%
- DA - 38,78%
Poll this week - 29%
The DA is at present at 37% in the polls and the EFF at 9%
Nelson Mandela Metro – Port Elizabeth
2011 election - ANC - 52,13%
DA - 40,24%
Poll this week - 27%
The DA is at present at 37% in the polls and the EFF at 9%
About 12% of the voters are voting for smaller parties an d 15% undecided at this stage.
If this percentages are realized in the actual election on 3 August –
* the ANC is in serious trouble in the Metros; and
* the Metro’s involved will have to be governed on a coalition basis
