“The club of the capital reorganizes its sporting direction around
Heyneke Meyer and accelerates the realization of its project Ambition
2023. The formation and the development of young players, in particular
French, are more than ever at the heart of the attentions of the club.
Last May, Dr. Hans-Peter Wild detailed a project whose ambition is to
bring the Stade Français Paris back to the highest steps of the national
and European podiums.
The achievement of this objective is
inseparable from the individual and collective research of a high level
of requirement and professionalism. Thus, the management of the club
confirms the reorganization of its sporting direction around Heyneke
Meyer, sports director and head coach and the arrival of Fabrice
Landreau as sporting director. Fabrice Landreau will take office next
Monday and will assist Heyneke Meyer and senior management in four main
areas: Continuation and amplification of the work already initiated to
create a reference training center, Recruitment and development of
professional players and young people, Contribution to innovative club
projects such as the performance center and the medical center, Sports
administration administration.
In this position, Fabrice
Landreau will be the privileged interface of the various sports
departments with the rest of the organization. Pascal Papé, director of
training, who has all the confidence of the club management, will now
also benefit from the experience of his former coach. Kobus Potgieter
joins Pascal Papé's team as coach of the training center; he brings to
the club of the capital more than ten years of experience in the Wild
Rugby Academy and at the head of the German National Selection. Dr.
Hans-Peter Wild, owner of the club, confirms: "The reorganization of the
sport set up today around Heyneke Meyer, in which I have every
confidence, gives us a lot of assets to reach the ambitious objectives
that we we are fixed. It testifies to my determination to (re) make,
with the teams of the club and for the lovers of rugby, the Stade
Français Paris one of the biggest clubs of the world ".
Hubert Patricot, club president adds: "With the arrival of Fabrice
Landreau and Kobus Potgieter we will intensify our efforts to reach our
goal of having 80% of the players coming from our training program".
