What is the futureof the Pro14?

After the game yesterday between the Cheetahs and Leinster - one of the strongest teams in the competition - I have a real problem with the present set-up.
The problem is that other teams from the NH would have problems in coming from Europe to play in SA against the Cheetahs - while the latter team have problems in playing in the slow and wet NH games,
That brings me to the Kings,   Fac t is that the Kings had some decent players in Super Rugby this year - but lost most of them afterwards, so they are a joke and a bad one at that,      They lost all of Mapimpi, Cornje, Shreuder. Cloete and Geldenhuys to name just some of their losses.    
The present system is unhealthy and the NH teams will moan about it - so the present scenario will almost certainly have to be reviewed.     

 Maaik, the players will adapt and the Kings team of  Supper Rugby this year would have been much more competitive... they've got some building to do again. Early days still. 

...awesome and epic win for the Cheetahs  - a great boost for SA rugby even if the opposition was missing all their Lions players ....no doubts the Cheetahs are definitely worthy of inclusion in the Pro 14...the Irish did'nt like that much so they wrote articles about how embarrasing the attendance was to deflect attention away from the embarrassment of them getting their butt kicked..
 but the Kings have just lost at home to the botton team in the competition...does'nt get any worse than that but is doing wonders for Italian rugby ...

 In essence I agree with the concept - but the problems remain - the NH teams are not accustomed to play rugby on dry and fast grounds with a temp[erature of 28+ degrees.
The second issue is SARU and the Kings situation.   The present team is just not up to standard and some drastic changes are necessary.  The Kings must be helped financially and they must get some decent players from the other unions.   There are players who rarely makes the Lions, Stormers and Sharks teams who can help building up a stronger and more competitive Kings franchise.
It is clear the new format involving the Kings and Cheetahs have not yet taken hold and public attendance is poor.   This problem can only be overcome when the public get to support decent and more competitive teams being fielded.   The problem is not so evident in the case of the cheeths team than it is in the case of the Kings.          

I think SARU should offer the unions the option to sell players to the Kings (managed by SARU). 
They desperately need new players, or even buy some of the players back from the other unions.

 .. .What is the future of the Pro14 ?...there is talk of expansion into North America, Germany and Romania...according to the CEO the goal is to increase commercial revenues which is what Super Rugby tried to do by expanding and we all know how that turned out...

I think it could be good for rugby as a whole...no doubt there is the likelyhood of it expanding to other regions and countries...players must learn to adapt to different enviroments if they are to compete on the world stage (World Cup)...it's no good for a side to only to be able to play on hard/soft surfaces and home/away support...players must rise to adversity and conditions that do not always favour them.

I see a lot of changes happening...SARU will have to adapt and I think challenges will benefit rugby and SARU along with other unions will have to play fiddle to the big boss (IRB).

There's also speculation that the 6 Nations will extend to 7 Nations with Georgia coming on board.

Clubs and franchises will have to make way for the National cause ...taking priority.

Most rugby fans prefer International Rugby and Test Rugby to Club and Franchise competitions...at least, I surmise this...I certainly do.

The Cheetahs and the Kings will however benefit greatly from this exposure and I welcome it.
