It is only the first half against NZ and we have already left 12 points out there due to missed penalties! This may be the final nail in Morne's coffin.

Morne Steyn - his goalkicking was abysmal - no wind to affect it.   He cannot take any pressure kicks anymore - missed all of them.   Two misses by Francois Steyn as well.

Our forwards are good - our backline not so.

It shouldn't be, as we have no other test ready 10s, it's knee jerk reactions like that which cause Bok rugby to plummet. Rather drop Pienaar who just cannot be bothered to play with any kind of intensity. Hougaard back at 9 and things will be better.

Dropping Morne would not be a knee jerk reaction. His kicking has been bad all year.

Morne is not effective in backline play as well as goal kicking, perhaps Goosen needs to come on any time soon in the second half.

The Cat

Do you realise now that Morne is a sick joke.   He cost us a try and he missed enough penalties.   And that useless f#cker - Greyling, what about him?   He knocked on a ball where we sshould score a try.  Hope I never ever seee him in the squad again    Gave away four penaltiees and got yellow-carded. Send him back to the Bulls.   By the way he may also be banned for a couple of matches - hopefully for 6 months.

I was very happy with the performance of the forwards - and Bekker definitely improved our line outs - but Strauus's through-ins were widely erratic and I believe that Liebenberg was bad as well.

I would say the following where basically useless in the team:-

Kirchner - very poor game - useless defender and out of position as a rule

Morne Steyn - abysmal at kicking at goal - cost us a try by passing to early.  Stood way too far back to be effective

Alberts - never in the game

Kruger - not much in evidence

Greyling - the most useless piece if flesh around.

Time for the above six players to go - definitely sooner rather than later.

We did very well despite the above players  - considering the team and the fact that Etzebeth was not around.   Flip did well and so did Louw - actually much better than expected.  Vermeulen also.   Coetzee shows once again why he should have been in the starting line -up - snuffed out one All Black attack on his own.   Francois Steyn also played better than in earlier tests.
