I was watching the performance of Jacques Potgieter - putting in top performances for the Waratahs week after week.   When he played for the Bulls he was a typical fairly useless no 7 - playing without any real effect and being more average to poor than what he displays nowadays.   He was even worse than Alberts were - and that takes some doing.

He then went off to Japan and was contracted with the Waratahs for the Super 15 season.   It is a miracle that he could even play decent rugby after a season of soft rugby in Japan.  Yet Potgieter goes off to the Waratahs and what did he came up with in an interview he gabe to a Sydney newspaper about his Waratahs experience?

He said the Warataks taught him about ball skills and handling and there was no doubt a massive improvement in his performances - which he displayed week after week.  While with the Bulls - the mindless play after charging the first defender - and then often enough losing possession of the ball in the process is gone and we now have a player with the required ball skills and proper performance record for loosies in evidence.

I hope Meyer takes note about that and bring him into the Boks squad for the RC.   For one thing we do not need the donkey performances of Alberts in the squad anymore.
