We have a member on this site who believes there are only two aspects count in rugby - kicking of the ball and defense.    According to his comments on site try scoring counts for nothing and is a  major rugby sin and keeping ball in hand is worse.
I am not against kicking - it is an important component of rugby - but what is more important is the quality of kicks and the use made of kicks - that is the objective with making kicks.
The bad impact of kicks is measured by what happened as a result.    So lets look at the negatives of inaccurate kicking:-
*   Relieving kicks that does not find touch and only represents turnovers  in possession.  Even when touch is found - it often enough allows for counter-attacks through quick throw-ins.
*   Penalty line kicks that do not find touch
*   Kicks directly into touch  from outside the kicker's 22.
*   Aimless kicks after turnovers.
*   Kicks too far downfield that does not allow for follow-up to compete and basically represent possession turnovers and for counter-attacks.
*   Predictability of kicks - that is regular or too frequent use of kicks.
It is unfortunate that the above poor kicks represent up to 80% of all kicks by SA players and that is why most of our halfbacks are deficient.

Ok I have never once seen any discussion by you - on the issue of quality of kicks and when kickers foul up.    Matter of fact I have never seen you criticizing kickers for poor kicks made - especially not the BS often enough displayed by Fat Fransie, Morne and Jantjies in the relevant regard.
Remember that penalty kick of Morne in the Perth test when he missed touch and lost the game for the Springboks all on his own when you tried to ignore the incident in your postings and how you ducked and dived to try and justify Morne's poor display.   That is just typical.
When the kicking of Fat Fransie was piss poor in 2014 for the Sharks you praised him to high heaven and ever since then we have to put up with your harping about why he should be Springbok flyhalf - the biggest flop around - strongly supported by you.
