The lad was limping after 5 min. Shocking that Plumtree played a guy clearly not over his injury. JP, Frans, Coetzee, Daniel and Kankan were huge

Yep send him back to play with boys his age, before he really gets hurt.

I think Steph is about at least two years off a Bok call up.

Unfortunately with snapster if you are a youngster its Bok time!

If he ever gets a bok call up at senior level. Playing for an age division that is capped with players the same age is different than playing in a open division with players from 18-35.

I rate Du Toit highly - but not when he is apparently not over his injury.   Plumtree was out of his mind when he played him yesterday - but I suppose he wanted to give him game time - not very clever under the circumstances.   In my book he should play a full season on Super 15 level and then can b considered for higher honours if he passes that test.  I believe he will end up as the lock partner for Etzebeth - but that will be for the future.

Moz just because I rate this guy, you have to find anti in him dont you? For crying out loud, in his first start you made up crap about his display and now at a stretch its CC - get real man, judge the player on his merits, not on the basis that I rate him.

In his first start he was the best lock on the park. Yesterday he did nothing wrong at all but was clearly injured not fit to play given he was limping after 5min. This kid is a hard nut, tried to play through the pain as he did the week before.

This kid has Bok written all over him and is by far our best bet at a Bok bench spot, unless of course you have a better option? With Bekker and Etzebeth to start, the options for bench are Flip and Kruger, you cant stand Flip because I rate him and you have started to question Kruger as I have?

Steph du Toit made as much of an impression as Etzebeth did when he played for the Baby Boks last year, look where Eben is now. Steph du Toit is one of the obvious standouts - one of those who has Bok written all over him and given his physical credentials, he is ready for bench duty right now. CC my arse. Meyer has already invited him to the Bok training squad, he is in his sights and rightly so

Relax Dave....it was just a joke. No doubt this youngster is promissing. But he isn't ready. You said he was the best lock on the park, I didn't see or hear one comment to back that up. Most pundits thought he looked out of his depth.

Maybe in two years time he will be at Etzebeth's level.....ie getting ready to play internationals. Maybe he wont. But you are way too premature on all your predictions.

Wrong, the consensus was that he had a good game, Skinstad for a start raved about him. No one but yourself said he was out of his depth. He was the best lock the field, followed by Flip. Bresler and Kruger made little impact.

Anyway, he has only just started senior level rugby and I see Etzebeth in this kid, he is too good, too keen not to make an impression whenever he plays. He will be a Bok within 2 years. I for one would have him on my Bok bench now, certainly ahead of Flip and Jeandre
