Looking at the squad selected by Meyer and considering there are only a few test matches left before the Rugby World Cup there isn't many matches left to try new combinations or options.

So looking at the 36 players selected plus those not considered due to injury, the question begs who is going to be culled from the group come world cup.

There is of course the game plan we know works in Europe and most likely to be employed, and then there is the more positive attacking rugby that we have witnessed off and on from Meyer's charges.

The balancing act of what to employ when is of course the secret which Meyer is going to keep very close to his chest.

The normal RWC squad is 30 players but due to the match day twenty two increased to 23, we might see squads of 31 or 32 for the RWC.

Tendai Mtwarira , Coenie Oosthuizen, Trevor Nyakane

Scrum halves

This is the squad I believe Heyneke M eyer has in mind for the world cup, who do you think he will select, not your own squad, but his.

I have 29 who I am convinced he will take, two spots left, both in the front row.

I can't see him leaving Bakkies and Gurthro out of the mix.

He seems to think that Coenie is a better tighthead and will probably select him there at the expense of Redelinghuys.

Both Lions loosies will be cast aside. They will more than likely be replaced by Siya Kolisi and possibly Arno Botha if fit.

I would be very surprised to see Goosen as full back cover. I expect he'll call Kirchner back.

Not so sure about Senatla. Maybe Mvovo??
