So, I believed that the trial was starting yesterday, but not sure how long such procedures will take or what are they charging him with exactly.

Their statements seems a bit contradictory. Just think it is going to be a big circus if you ask me and be dragged out.

If you believe the media, some stating that SA could be stripped of the Lions series win. If that is the case then I would lose all respect in what makes rugby, rugby. Might as well go watch soccer then.

Also, how would it sit in  your mouth if the Lions were awarded the series knowing that they couldn't beat the boks.

But I wonder if you look at all the 'Bad Calls' that Rassie pointed out, did Berry get it wrong against the Lions too and have they too also been subject to bad decisions and is Berry just incompetent.

If there are very few bad calls against the  lions vs calls that went against the boks then this would raise massive questions on referee biases.

As Keo said, they have touch judges and TMO not mention  all they time they take to make the right call and they still stuff it up.

Hopefully the amateurishness of rugby will get exposed and addressed, once and for all, but still keep what is rugby.

Namely two things that have crept into our game

  1. Too much chirping the ref from multiple players, swarming the ref.
  2. Simulation, milking penalties. This has to stop

Should be quite soon.

I'm guessing i t'll just be a rap over the knuckles . . . a touchline ban and maybe a fine.

What we demand is fair refs and transparency. No more cover ups, and no more acceptance of ref cheats or incompetent refs. There must be consequences for them.

Rassie has down the rugby world a massive favour. Berry made 26 mistakes and some blatant ones. This does not include any he made against the Lions. Probably a lot smaller but there would probably be some?

I wonder how many mistakes he made in total.

Well Beeno, rugby laws is and extremely difficult thing to learn and probably need to be  lawyer just to understand the bloody rule book.

But I like what Nigel Owens has been doing giving his version. I wonder for big matches whether a 4th ref should be added just advice the reff, but there are already 4. Two on the touchline and one in the box. So, there is no excuse to fuck it up. Perhaps the man in the middle has too much control.

I know they trialed two refs on the pitch in the varsity cup one year. Wonder if they should bring that back.

But the NFL has more than 1 ref which helps the game

Josè has done the rugby world a massive favour by pressuring the ref, with the race card, into giving the Boks a free pass? Really? He has been very silent on the reffing decisions that benefitted the Boks. That doesn't sound fair, or acting in the best interests of the game. He knew the Boks needed an extra edge, and this was it. The rugby world knows it well enough.

What, he called out 26 blatant mistakes by the ref. As I said, would like to see how the calls went for the Lions to see on balance how poor the ref was. But we can not tolerate poor reffing anymore. Australia is notorious for producing poor refs. Probably because rugby is so low in that country.

Clive Woodward did the same with his presentation of the Lions. It was well publicised about Gatlands outburst on Marius Jonker appointment.

He did after the match, it wasn't directed at an official before the match, but after. There is a big difference.

He sent out a warning to the other refs to be fair. Probably not in a pleasant manner but when your back is against the wall and you only have one chance to win the series.

New Zealand got knocked out by a forwards pass in a WC and you never hear the end of how poor the ref was. Coaches do it all the time, Rassie was pragmatic and analytical and ask serious questions. Not emotional outburst like what Cheika kept doing

Cheika is a petulant clown. If you add up the instances of loafing Lood flopping all over the breakdown, even from offside, or Malherbe belly flopping, the Kolbe red that wasn't, high neck tackle by Am not called, the blatant forward pass that wasn't called amongst others, José doesn't have a leg to stand on. If you look at the Pumas games, José begins to look embarrassingly errant. He merely sought to weaponise the officiating. Nothing more. Adding the 16th man to compensate for the atrocity he calls coaching.

They were not blatant mistakes….the only blatant mistake  was the Watson tip tackle. The rest were mostly marginal calls, called customarily. Have you looked at the whole tape Corn?

No, no no wail the supporters of incompetence and cheating. Its all so unfair that Beeno and others are calling for competent unbiased refs. Beeno is spoiling the game and bring it into disrepute by complaining about poor refs - and in any case we don't mind the Boks being cheated as long as Rassie gets fired.

Rassie has, as we all know, been terrible for the Boks they opine. Some delusional folks think because he won the last RC, the RWC, The Lions series, was World Coach of the Year, Boks were World Team of the year, Du Toit was World Player of the Year and the Boks lead the IRB rankings by 5 points that Rassie is good for the Boks. That oaks is what these boz os think.

Face facts these nutters have lost their "minds"!

If they were competent, the Boks would have been penalised a heck of a lot more and likely lost the Lions series. That's not what the plastics want, the plastics want to continue becoming McCaw's All Blacks. They feel like they finally have the crown and are slaughtering dissenters. Dilussions of grandeur.
