Where is Andre Esterhuizen?   There was a rumour that he would not play CC rugby fr the Sharks and that he has gone off to play soft rugby in Japan.

That is probably true - because he ahs not played for the Sharks recently.

So we will have to wait for the Super Rugby series in 2019 to witness the absolute brilliance AO claims he has.  One can hardly wait to see whether he is a failure like Steyn was in 2013 , 2014 and 2015 as a center.

Why don't you review the entire test season thus far. He comprehensively outplayed Damian, and was one of the best backs in the RC.

Damian ought to go to Japan. They place importance on skills and decision making. They run great lines and play at a faster pace than Super rugby. It would undoubtedly improve his game, bringing it closer to the demands of test rugby.

Balls as per normal - another wild statements without any prove whatsoever.   Your ability to identify player performances are totally blinded by prejudice and consequently worthless.   That is typical of your rating of Fat Fransie in 2014 as the best SA 12 when factually there were three better performers than him and when he was no 32 on the performance of centers list in 2014.

The fact is you have like Mozart a pet hate list - where actual performance counts for nothing and where average performance by other players not on the list is turned into brilliant performance.

I actually said Serfontein was the form 12 in 2014.

Now Meyer has a hate list? When will you grow up? I can barely believe I am conversing with someone so much older than myself.

Sorry - I made a mistake and changed it.   Mozart is the one  who has such a list.  You know that you are totally obsessed with certain players.

By the way - when did any backline player returned from Japan with better ball skills and retained fitness levels?    You came up with BS which is rarely shown by the Sunwolves - what is more often the case is that there are fitness level problems,

I am always amazed how it is possible that you, Mozart and Pakie  watch one game and the rest of the world another one.    The assessments you come up with  is totally at odds with reality and never change.    In your case you sometimes change your tune, but the BS is back 24 hours later. That gave you a semblance of reasonableness and something to fall back on when exposed.   Take the Kriel - Am story.   You praised Kriel and a day alter you wanted him out of the squad and Am in,

Actually Mike, aside from a minor difference of opinion here and there, no one on this board other than you have a problem with what I post, and you are also the only one who accuses me of dishonesty, tampering, deceit, etc.

You can't fix your shattered reputation on this board by discrediting other posters. That only makes it worse for yourself.

No, they actually actively support me against you. I'm talking about guys like Xavi, Bluebok, BokBF, to name a few recent examples. Are you now going to question their integrity as well?

I've challenged you time and again to back up your accusations against me with evidence. You have never produced a shred. You just resort to ad hominem and diversion when challenged.

But yes, please ignore me. You can start by not dragging my name into threads all over the board where I'm not involved while making up shit about what I said or didn't say.

Pakie

I have not seen any case where Mozart and AO criticized a player nd you did not jump in  to support them.   Similarly there never was a case where you criticized a player on your own or if somebody else  did you did not support the version of the two mentioned.

You have done a number of analysis over the last year and those include a continuous attack on De Allende started in 2015 and the same with Du Toit,  You always supported Louw and did one as well to support the AO and Mozart BS.

If you can point out any case where you differed from the two most prejudiced members on site - please tell me when it happened and I would credit you for showing impartiality in approach to players.     Thus far there were none in evidence.

Until then your analysis can never be trusted since it is based on prejudice and  therefore not reliable at all.

Mikey, I have to agree with Db here. You are the only one that has grouped Pakie with Moz and Aug. Which has immediately made you biased against him. Agreeing with Moz and Aug does not automatically make someone wrong, and it does not automatically make someone anti-Clevermike. My opinion on Pakie, is that he has mostly backed his opinions with facts and with hard evidence in the form of videos and pictures. I think if you were able to remove the tag you have placed on him as a Moz/Aug groupie, you'd find he actually has very insightful posts.
I would just like to point out that all of you are pretty blind when it comes to our centers. Including AM, Kriel, De Allende, Esterhuizen etc etc, because the truth is, all our centers are pretty average at best. Arguing incessantly about which one is averager than the other just makes no sense to me.

The posters here are smart, many much smarter than me when it comes to the game, yet strangely you're the only one who questions the integrity of my contributions. That about says it all.
Also, if you can find any "attacks" on PSDT from me this year, kindly point them out. I think he is overhyped, but he's been very good this year despite a few obvious flaws.

And thanks, Blue.

Pakie

I have asked you one simple question - name one case where you performance studies were not initiated by Mozart and AO and when the following was not involved:

*    Damian de Allende

*    P-S du Toit

When I criticized the performance of Louw in June - you rushed in to support Mozart and Pakie when they wrote praise songs about Louw.

Sorry - your record is not very clean when it comes t o bias - so I insist that you answer the simple question I put to you.

Pakie, you are underselling yourself. Unlike most of us, you have actual coaching experience and qualifications. You are also quite mild tempered. I know that you know the game better than me; so too the elusive Xavi, who is also a coach.

We are lucky to have people here who can significantly increase the quality of discussions, and they are treated like dirt. I had in mind to post alot more analytical material, but seeing how Lügnerin dragged the excellent work of Pakie down, one has to wonder, why bother? You give the man a platform to form a retort and he will insult you and behave like a baby. Read through my posts, you'll see that I ask alot of questions. Who takes the opportunity to express something richer than the old mud sling? Certainly not Freifrau.

I know his type very well. The cry bully. Too hyper emotional. What attack gave we formed against players? I think you'll find Moz, Pakie and I never discuss the person behind the rugby player when making these assessments and we always have established reasons for our positions. Interesting that those who resort to video evidence are those who are hated the most by Lügnerin. What greater evidence can there be? When I was called a liar and a hateful prejudiced expletive about Steph's defence, I posted a video showing what I had talked about. What did we hear from him? I "made it look like Steph couldn't defend". Me or the video?

Herr Lügnerin needs to up his game. He also needs to move on from the past. His tribe x; tribe y mentality is letting him down. So too his gross dishonesty.

@Bluebok: You'd be surprised how good André really is. I've been late posting the videos of these two, but I will get around to it. He isn't the imposing figure Frans was, that kind of x factor player, but he is a workhorse and does the hard yards with ease. A powerful man who creates a platform for the rest of the backs. Rassie is a fool for demoting him for someone who has done so little at any point in his test career. He'll be let down the same way Meyer was. Rassie is fortunate to have two quality centres come through right as he starts his tenure. The first two centres who look test quality since Frans, Jean and Fourie, and he is wasting them.

Auge, thanks, but I just need to correct you: I've never coached. I know Xavi does, also wish he'd be a little more involved here.

name one case where you performance studies were not initiated by Mozart and AO

I did an unprompted summary of Esterhuizen's involvement against Australia which showed that he was involved in around 17 successful tackles & assists (I can document every one), but I didn't post it because it would just have led to another shitstorm about numbers which I wasn't in the mood for.
Other than that I'm not sure I can name anything off the top of my head. I usually only do player analyses if that player is specifically under discussion because of the time it takes to follow a player around the park for 80 minutes. Even if you do it slapdash by skipping and forwarding it takes at least half an hour. I don't have unlimited free time, wish I had because I would like to do the same for a lot more players as it is very revealing. So if someone initiates a discussion about a player and I think an analysis would help make their role more clear, I will respond to that. Not sure why that's a problem.

When I criticized the performance of Louw in June - you rushed in to support Mozart and Pakie when they wrote praise songs about Louw.
You claimed he was "on holiday", so I ran through his performance to show that he actually had a very busy game. Again, what's the problem? If you want me to run through a different player's performance, why don't you just ask instead of kicking up a stink?

I also of course do a lot of general play/try scoring analysis without being prompted.

Who do you think you are Lügnerin? The Tzar of Ruckers?

If he wants to do an analysis of a player he is free to do it as and when he pleases regarding anyone he chooses. I have a better idea, seeing as you are retired, why don't you get up off your backside and do some ground work before you mash your keyboard in another fit of rage?

And here we have it, an admission that posters hold back information because of the coddled baby at Ruckers who demands compliance. Lügie, you stifle discussions and degrade the quality of what's posted.

@Pakie: My bad, I was certain I read you did some coaching. I must have mixed something up from Xavi. Either way, your analysis posts are excellent. The angrier Lügnerin is, the more on point you are. Think of him as a metal detector.

A lot of the guys here pretty much have everything covered in any case.

Sometimes it devolves into a bit of a Oom Mike turkey shoot and you guys are basting that old buzzard regularly. Sometimes He doesn't need your help, let alone mine to roast himself.

I enjoy your analysis and videos. Great work and much appreciated.

Pakie is the closest thing we have to an informed, but neutral arbiter.....his clips are excellent discussion aids. Have to agree with Bloo about the centres.....Kriel, Stepfontein, Duh Allende, Esterhozen, Vorster, Am......no exceptional talents at all. The only guy who looked a bit special was Rohan, whose blocky power is a weapon. But he seems to have lost his mojo and his defence was always suspect.

AO

Debating anything with you is impossible - nobody can debate anything with a person who has an absolute;y closed mind.   Add to that a person who dreams of things that never happened on the field of play and then claimed it did happen.

Debating is for people with open minds dealing with real issues that happened or may happen in future.    That is why debating anything with Mozart and you are totally impossible.

He is fine in a backline where the rest of the players aren't midgets too.

He was solid on the EOYT of 2012. Our defence was excellent and helped seal it shut. What we got in 2013 with JJ was the complete opposite. You'll struggle to compete with the best teams if you have a defensively weak 13.

Juan is one of the best defensive 13s I have ever seen. We seldom produce players who can read the game like he does, especially at centre. Am is the first such player to emerge in quite a few years. So, they don't come. Around very often.
