Commonsense in sending Levi home after 20/20 finishes and not keeping him for the ODI series? Surely he justified a change of plan, all it needed was for CSA to show a little bit of flexibility.

There's sufficient justification to bend the rules in Levi's case....moreso than the justification of the useless Ontong or the average and ageing Robin Pieterson. Speaking of the squad, what sense is there in having two full time spinners in Botha and Pieterson and a part spinner in Duminy? It seems like an overkill in having too many spinners.
I reckon allowing Levi to stay on and play in the ODI's would have given him a ton of confidence especially being on foreign soil. Pretty damn sad to see an opportunity gone begging.
