It is time to start right at the top nd work through the coaching staff and tewm after a series of shockers,
Coetzee
How clueless can a coach be?   Coetzee has decided that selections become a lottery ticket,   Lets just take one example -  Du Toit has now this year played as lock, 7 and 8.   Despite that he together with Marx were the only forwards to show some fighting spirit
The first thing to do was to destroy the team who played against the AB's and did well against them with the exception of Dreyer and Louw.   So out goes Louw nd Kitshoff and in comes Coenie and Beast and the useless Louw is moved from 8 to 7 - even though he wore the no 8 jersey,
His game plan goes sh!t and the kicking game of Coetzee - he showed at the Stormers must be used.   This guy is as clueless as they come.   Kicking is an essential part of the game - but then there must be strategic value to it.
This guy failed as stomers coach and make a farce of being SA coach.   The sooner he is gone the better it would be for the Springboks and rugby in SA.
The Back 3
Coetzee as coach has a fixation about small wings and about clueless play from the back.   A Coetzee is very good under high balls - the two midgets on the wing are not.   Under pressure they are totally useless.
At full back Coetzee has been good in linking up with the backline in counter-attacking.   However there are no players lining up when he counter-attacks so he has two choices -either crash ball or make aimless kicks.  His kicking game is a disaster.
Leyds and Skosan both are CC level players - to play in tests is way beyond their capabilities and physicality.
I would look at the following players to replace the BS we are suffering from:-
Le Roux, Combrinck, Van Wyk, Nkosi and Mapimpi
Centers
The problem remains - our centers are under-performing drastically and they were both useless and clueless.   Kriel is no center and De Allende has gone the Fat Fransie way,
The fact is that our best centers are not even in the Coetzee squad, but no centers can function outside of a dysfunctional half back pairing,   That being said I would still think that the centers that should be in the squad are Janse van Rensburgh, Vorster and Odendaal.
Halfbacks
Lets face facts - Jantjies is not a test level player and neither is Cronje.   Pollard while on the field of play for 23 minutes yesterday was also a flop.   I think it is time to forget about Jantjies a flyhalf and Cronje as scrummie and start searching for alternatives,
Pollard needs game time - but the signs are not good.   The only answer I can come up with is to try Willemse and Du Preez, simnce I am afraid Bosch may be another Jantjies.
We have problems at scrummie.   I think that Schreuder would be a better option than Cronje - but would also look at Ivan van Zyl and Papier as future options.
Loosies
Time to send Louw, Cassiem and Kolisi packing.   Du Toit - while still being a lock - is a better loosie than those three combined.

Longing for the great old days under HM Mike? Finally understanding that blowing up everything after the WC has only produced a road of tears? Enjoying the great coaching of Smith and Brendan Venter..........drowning in egg?

 No Mozart
Meyer was BS too - so I am not missing him.   The issue is around Coetzee - he is even worse than Meyer was, even though the basis of destruction was laid by Meyer.

No BS about Dr Venter please Dr  Mozzzzzz. You know darn well Saracens never looked as awful as this so don't Blame Venter. Also he never selected the backline!
Time to get in a top coach!  Coetzee is not up to the job - the only allowa nce being he has to pick quota players.

Italy gave away a record number of points last year....and who was their defensive coach. You have to take in the facts HasBeen. Do you really think Coetzee is actually coaching this lot?

AC is a k@k coach but he or ANY other coach is an irrelevance under the current ANC guidelines. Until the coach has the authority to select the team based on his requirements and game plan we will continue on this downward path.

The non-thinking part was linked to the Italy story,  Las year England struggled to beat Italy in the 6 Nations due to Venter's organization of the Italy defense.   Instead if looking at making a proper evaluation - you wrote totally unthinking prejudicial junk.   .

Las year England struggled to beat Italy in the 6 Nations

A 40-9 win is struggling?
Ireland beat them 58-15, Wales beat them 67-14. The only team that struggled to beat Italy in last year's 6N was France.

Look at the home games of Italy against all the nations - they were weak when playing away.   Anyway I was wrong about the game against England - the one I should have referred to was France.

Well you can't hold one example (against France, who finished second from last in that tournament) as proof that their defense was good, when they got hammered by every other team in the tournament (at home they lost 40-9 to England and 36-20 to Scotland). The France game was actually in Paris.

I listed the 2017 Six Nations, Pakie. The one against France was in Rome. The 2016 game was in Paris. You are correct with the scores in 2016, though. I forgot for a minute that the argument was about the time that Brendan Venter was involved with them. A time during which they got hammered in four of their five games. The one odd one out being the away game against France. That blows Ou Maaikie’s home game argument to pieces. But hey, Ou Maaikie is not one to make judgement calls on one single game now, is he?

I think Mike is talking about an older match in Rome a few seasons ago. I think it even snowed during the match. England nearly lost. But that was a bit of an anomaly.

Every other team in the Six Nations had a positive points spread.......because Italy had a whopping, incredible minus 151 points spread. And then we rejoice when we sign up the architect of that defensive sieve! So far this year the Boks are 15 points ahead of their opponents....but we were 68 points ahead after playing France at home. Since then we are 53 points behind. .. Those are the facts, but the visual evidence is even more compelling. By the time our flyhalf passed the ball the Irish were right on our deep lying centres......whereas Allende and Kriel were way back of the advantage line, conducting passive defence easily unlocked by a few Sexton loops. There is no pressure from this Venter defence.....none at all. Even the Lions derived ball hold up tactic has gone missing.

The last Irish try is a case study for our passive defence. Everyone is static, just hanging back and letting them run until there are simply too many gaps and too much space for the defenders to cover.

Tokkie's big picks were Odendaal, Vorster who he denied thrice a few weeks ago, and Rohan. Duh Allende the man he has supposedly always championed, he compared to Fat Fransie.......what a fake.

Mozart

You have to find the posting made by me 7 months ago to try and make a personal attack on what I wrote at the time.  I based my arguments then - as now - on what really happened during matches, not deception and lies like you do.

We are now down the line with a new coach and not forgetting your personal attacks on Erasmus   what you come up with now is really your standard BS and lies.   I thought that during a season where he played little rugby De Allende did not perform well enough and I thought at the time other options should be considered,   However, in Super Rugby this year De Allende was much better and in fact was performing better than other contenders.

Nobody could ever be as poor a center as Fat Fransie - whom his coach said was no center at all.

The liar and fake on this site - go and look in a mirror and you will see that individual,

No you thought Allende was going the 'route of fat Fransie'....you thought Pollard was done.....and you were the biggest fan of the stone head Schreuder. Funny stuff, but we all get it wrong from time to time. It's not a big deal, what makes it funny though is that you think you are smarter than most. When it's so obviously the other way round.

No Village Idiot - can yo never read and understand anything.   Pollard had no form to go on in 2017 and De Allende was injured foor a lengthy eriod nd when he did play he was not up to standard,
I do not live in the past like you do and make my own assessments based on actual performance at the stage I write the above.

Totally relying on form is wrong.....just as totally ignoring form is wrong. Get a little wiser and you wouldn't make all these mistakes.....like the horrible botch you have just made about Vermeulen.

What about the numberless botches you made as to the rugby geriatrics and useless players like Morne. Alberts  and Fat Fransie you supported in the past on the basis that form is meaningless when it comes to selections?   New norm now that your heroes of the past is gone?
