What now chaps, it’s so bad it’s just not worth commenting on really…..all we can hope and pray for is that Coetzee and his band of chimps get the boot, for nothing he does moving forward will improve things……not only is he out of his depth as a coach, more so than even PDV was,  there is no chance in hell the players respect him as a coach after his 11 tests in charge

I think they need to go out far into the veld somewhere

Somewhere where there is a nice scenic lake with some underground caverns

Then they need to dress up like Lions and give Coetzee his Springbok attire to wear, then give him a two hour head start, all the while knowing that it will take at least 12 hours to reach any civilisation on foot.

Then, they need to systematically hunt him down as a collective and once he is caught, force him to watch all these losses over and over and over until he cries for mercy and admits he is out of his depth at this level .

That should build some team spirit, and maybe, just maybe, when hunting him down, make them work as a team for once.

Bobby Skinstad has tweeted the following

"First, Springboks need an administration cleanout, an identity and positioning reset, then would benefit from a NZ/AB coach"

Like Oz benefitted from Deans? No thanks.

Id be more than happy with a Kiwi coach if Ackerman and Swys were not given the job

I've made peace with the ways things are. I'll still support the team, but my expectations are more or less in alignment with how things turned out this year. Victories against the likes of Ireland and Aus will become cherished anomalies in the near future. We better get used to losing against them and the likes of England, Argie, Wales and Scotty, not to mention France.

I think we need a strong coaching team - not the present scenario.   I think that at his time at the Stormers/WP Coetzee used the White game plan religiously without much success and he was clueless as Springbok coach - basically concentrating on a similar approach.
I do think that the way to go would be to hire a foreign coach - eg Plumtree - or go back to Rassie Erasmus.
Unless the coach issue is settled and the Government interference is ended and players selected  on merit there is no future for rugby in SA.   I would support the Springbok team if I am sure only the best players - irrespective of race - is selected.    If the Springboks are without any White players selected on the basis of merit I will support the team.

The only hope at this stage for the Springboks is to hope that the DA win the next elections over the ANC.
This would hopefully allow SARU to be run as a business- and hire in an expert coaching team that can select their team- instead of jobs for pals. Ideally a coach like Robbie Deans.
Most of Coetzee's coaching team was chosen before him- and this is just pathetic. The first defence coach is a family friend of Ruan Oberholzer - who seems to have his hands in the pot at every occasion.
Other than tight forward play- all the coaches have been useless. Three defence coaches later- and the team is poor.
