@king korn,
uh oh, parttime sharkbok is going to crack it when he reads this thread, he hates fnatasy stats, especially when it reflects real life performances, o_O
a couple of things though,
nadolo is a fijian international
leiua plays for manu samoa
NZ born chris sautia is a capped wallaby
IMO king and hames have been standouts for the highlanders in 2014, both are worthy of All Black consideration, but so is ben taumafuina who gets through a ton of work for 140kg beast.
liam coltman has been real solid, but rhys marshall has been better. IMO marhsall will be getting a an All Blacks cap sometitme between now and the RWC.
have always been a huge fan of broadhurst, more so otgher years then in 2014.
but when it comes to the locks, patrick tuipulotu, matt symons and micheal fitzgerald are all worthy attention for higher honours.
those three have been the standouts for uncapped players IMO.
those loose forards are a crack up, every one of them are openside flankers.
i rate shane christie, but hes 28. while age isnt really an issue, it is for anything higher then spXV hoinours.
braid has been real good this year, infact hes been real good the last few years, IMO hes NZs standout No7.
ardie hasnt had too much game time in 2014, but he hasnt had any games which have been better then the performances that manu samoa jack lam has given.
in saying that, i still nominatge ardie to be the successor to McCaw after 2015, especially now that cockhead hammet isnt around to contaminate his game.
ansocmbe would be worth a lokk for the All Blacks, but hes expressed interest overseas.
this is smart from anscombe, cos no matter how well he plays, the All Blacks flyhalf position is well and trully locked up with carter, barret and crudz.
NZs best uncapped flyhalf though has been lima sopoaga, i would really like to see lima in the All Blacks squad, where he could be even more danger if his rough skills were polished by the best rugby coaches in the world.
treeby would be my 12, a key player for the landers at the moment.
fekitoa would be an obvious choice for 13, did u see the way he carved up the sharks last weekend???? o_O
but george moala would be worthy of consideration, pity about his off field dramas though which would coun t against him in a big way.

I had a problem scraping together some Ausie players. Most of their players have had a cap here or there, but it kind of shows one of two things. Either caps are being devalued threw to given players test games to easily and the coach don't know what they are doing or injuries. I think it is a bit of both. Meyer in his first year must have capped at least 40 players.
Here is my take on the strength of the players around. SA looks really good up front, bit week at 5 lock and tight head. No real scrummy putting up their hands.
They are okay at centre but don't really have ball skills as that of NZ or Aus.
NZ looks great at loose forward, flyhalfs, centres wings okay on lock and okay at prop but seems to have enough depth.
Aus just looks poor at prop and scrumhalf but most of their backline players can play anywhere but lacking maybe a bit of pace.
So for SA, unless they start developing more positions, I don't see how they can play a total game. It will probably have to revert back to a 10 man game which is terrible.
I really like pollard and rate him highly. At 19 he has head screwed on right. He starred for SA at 17 when they won the u20 world cup.
Just wish SA can find a scrumhalve with the same distribution skills as Genia and Smith. Smith have fantastic hands, lightning quick and also gets great distance. Can easily fire 20m passes. If you look at what we have here in SA. Hougaard continues to throw poor passes. He needs an age to load up before he can get the ball out and when under pressure seem to throw granades, where as both smith and genia and almost at will fire of long passes while being tackled.
As for my selections, I whent for De Allende as Serfontein has already been capped but if had to choose between the two I would go for De Allende. He has showed some great distribution skills, especially in contact. Time for the stormers to back the youngster, not sure how long Jean will still be around and he seems more suited as an impact players.
I also think we need to find a quality fullback. I whent for Coetzee, really great talent but has had his fare share or injuries. SP Marais never really impressed me. To robotic and doesn't offer anything.
I can see why Jake has been experimenting with the Mvovo at fullback. I like the fact that you can use pace to get you back over the 10m line

Meyer has not even capped 40 players in total, let alone in his first year.

It was just a figure of speech, which 19 is still pretty high, don't forget the useless ones that he kept selecting.
Kruger; potgieter; Cilliers; Vermaak; Serfontein; kolisi; van zyl; adriaanse. All currie cup players at best.

Kruger................. Bekker was injured most of the time and Kruger was the stand-in.
Potgieter........ Duane Vermeulen, amongst others, was injured among the loose forwards. Francois Louw was not available. Alberts was injured, IIRC. Potgieter was never going to be a number one fixture, and he was doing quite well at the time that he was selected. As soon as Meyer had Vermeulen et al back and Francois Louw became available from Bath, etc, Potgieter lost out.
Cilliers. We were always thin at prop and it he was doing well at the time. He did not last that long when all the best players were fit and available.
Vermaak..... how many times did a lot of people not shout for him to be included in the Bok side............?
And so on and so on.
Hansen capped 21 new players, as a new AB coach, over the same period as Meyer.
