Which players have stood for you?
For me:
New Zealand: Barrett is an obvious one. Laumape is another. Before his injury, Crotty looked poor, particularly on defence. He fumbled as well. I thought he looked well off the pace. Laumape has been absolutely devastating. Sam Cane is another who looks to be unstoppable. He'll no doubt give the Boks headaches all day. Kieren Read is such a smart player. From defence, the way he reads play and picks out runners is terrific. Everything he does is so purposeful.
Argentina: Sanchez is the little general, and Bertanou his deputy. I think Ledesma made a mistake tampering with the latter. The two centres Ezcurro and Moroni are absolute pests. There are a lot of quality players in their pack, but the backs standout for me. The speed and cohesion between these players is incredible. A brief opportunity and they finis it of. The back three of Moyano, Delguy and Boffelli are also excellent.
Australia: I thought Genia played well against us. He initiated most of the attack. Petty, Maddocks and Hodge were others. Tui was a menace, he ran right over Whiteley and Mostert.
South Africa: Eben, Faf and Willie. Faf is another. The wings have been solid. So much of our play runs through Faf and then Willie. Without them our attack will stall completely. Of course, Faf needs to improve the accuracy of his game, but the way he pesters the opposition and his fearless defence, he compensated for his shortcomings. Willie us ihr chief playmaker. When he has a bad game, the Boks have a bad game as a team. He dictates most of the ball that goes through the backs.
