Okay,

So we have 3 matches left. The boys have 2 weeks off before being paraded around France for some World Cup promo nonsense.

But it means they'll have another five weeks to go. Some of the coaches moaned that the bubble made life hard, but most of the players are Europe based now so it shouldn't be a big factor.

We also have our URC rugby teams out there at the moment.

BUT, not sure I would pick any of that bunch.

So for me

Drop

Orie, Mostert, Willie, Elstadt,  Willemse, Wiese

In

RG, Coetzee, Leyds, Serfontein, Esterhuizen,  Goosen

The other question  is whether we should give our fringe players a decent run and try to create comptition in the team.

Pollard and Faf has been really questionable. If anything, they are in the UK and France and always be brought back in again.

Starting 15 against Wales and Scotland

15. Fassi / Steyn

14. Nkosi

13. Kriel

12. Esterhuizen

11. Kolbe

10. Jantjies / Goosen

9. Reinach  /  Jantjies

8. Dan Du Preez

7. Jean Luke

6. Van Staden  / Marcel Coetzee

5. Lood

4. RG

3. Wilcow Louw / Koch

2. Marx

1. Kitshoff / Du Toit

However,  probably not enough as we need more dark skin brothers. So probably see the likes of

OX, Scarra, Rasta, Trevor, Kolisi, Noche, Pepse, Simanale making a return and not to forget Orie

Id definitely drop Orie, Elstadt, Nico Janse v Rensburg, Mostert, Morne Steyn and Frans Steyn and I’d rest Willie and Vermeulen. My squad would be: 15. Fassi / Gelant 14/11. Mapimpi/ Nkosi / Kolbe / Tambwe / Penxe 13/12. Am / de Allende/ Kriel / Serfontein/ Esterhuizen / Rohan Janse v Rensburg 10. Pollard / Jantjies / Goosen 9. Faf / Jantjies / Nohamba Utility: Willemse 1/3. Malherbe / Wilco Louw/ Thomas du Toit/ Ox/ Kitshoff / Nyakane 2. Marx / Mbonambi/ Dweba 4/5. Etzebeth/ Lood / RG / Jason Jenkins/ Ruben Schoeman / JD Schickerling 6/7/8. Kolisi / Kwagga / Dan du Preez/ JL du Preez/ Dylan Richardson/ Elrigh Louw / Tshituka / Evan Roos Utility: Jacques du Plessis

Good lock combo, I see you are still pusing  for Richardson as well as Evan Roos.

Would like to see Dweba have a few more cracks at it.

Nohamba is still playing off the bench and the sharks have brought in Pienaar. So not sure if he is  match fit.

What happened to Jaden Hendrikse, is it out for the rest of the year?

Let "Willie Manilli" take it as it comes... and keep on running

He cannot blame it on the rain

He gave it his all or nothing

I'm gonna miss you Willie

The 80's kids will get it

  1. Fassi doesn't belong at test level.
  2. Wiese has been one of the very few good Boks this season, his unmatched ability within the squad to get over the gainline will be important up north. We simply do not possess another forward who can do it like he can.
  3. Willie is the best 15 we have. Once again, he is taking the flack for our inept coaches. We won't field anyone better. Frans had some good kicks, but if you want to actually ignite our tier 3 attack, we cannot be without Willie.
  4. Nkosi has been weak. Poor defence, poor aerial skills and a lack of work ethic.
  5. Reinach has been the best 9 on display. Faf just isn't rounded enough. I was watching some of the 2018 tests, and Faf looked a lot fitter. In fact, the team looked much fitter in general.
  6. Limp. A big man, but so underpowered. A nothing carrier, poor hands, very immobile and slow off the mark. Looks cumbersome. We look unfit, and Limp's unathletic state still stands out.
  7. van Rensburg is immensely powerful. He is the most impressive lock in terms of power since Flip and Bakkies. He was cleaning the Pumas off the ball like they were toys. Very mobile and with nice skills. He looked very impressive.
  8. Damian. He isn't just poor, he is getting worse. Sadly, all he has to do is walk over the line unopposed and the media is crowing his greatness. Damian is the clog in the team. What PTSD is to our pack is what Dumbian is to the midfield and backline. Over 50 caps of nothing. Absolutely outclassed and outgunned in every test.
  9. Marx is very clearly the best hooker in world rugby. Mbonambi is very good, among the very best, but Marx is better and is now becoming critical to the team.
  10. Esterhuizen has been treated badly by this uncoaching duo. We need him, and desperately. Unlike Dumbian, he actually has a good connection with Am. The best passing of all of our backs and with RG as the biggest offload threat.
  11. RG is the best lock in the country. He is a complete lock. We need his dynamism, but also his combative nature. He is a very dominant player with a hardy mentality.
  12. Kwagga needs to start at 6, with Dan at 7. This is now a must. Kolisi is not test quality. He has tried hard, but he simply cannot elevate his play to where it needs to be. His leadership doesn't exist.
  13. The PTSD myth must end now. The reasons have been stated enough at this point. We don't need him.

Not sure for how long Hendrikse is out for. Am impressed with his brother playing 10 for the Lions Agreed Dweba needs more game time Roos has Bok written all over him I’d like to see some young centres putting their hands up as my group are all in their late 20’s. I like the look of Rickus Pretorious at the Stormers, reminds me of a more athletic Jean de Villiers but unfortunately he is having to share the centre duties with Ruan Nel, Dan du Plessis and de Jongh. Similane is a real attacking talent with his step and pace but needs to bulk up as at 92kg is just not physical enough for a test 13 but he is exceptionally talented. I hope he puts in the gym work. My tips are James Mollentze at 12 and Henco v Wyk at 13, both at the Lions

Some of the interesting selections amongst others include JD Schickerling, Elrigh Louw and Evan Roos. I'd also like to see a new and younger alternative to Pollard and the permanent replacement of Willie Le Roux and sooner rather than later the athletic Ruhan Nel has to be given an extended run.

Denny unfortunately Ruan Nel is 30 now so would be a poor investment 20 year old Hendrikse playing 10 for the Lions looks really good. He is the only young 10 that’s looks to be the real deal Fassi is the obvious choice to replace Willie at 15, Fassi is a real class act who has a long test career ahead of him

Yep, I missed that, there is no future for Nel based on age. I've yet to see Hendrikse, have seen Fassi who has natural speed and might add another dimension to the back three and I hope he has a bigger boot than the pap boot of Le Roux, everytime Le Roux kicked I cringed.

I like Willie but he has been poor of late. His value is his ability to read the game, seek out attacking opportunities and igniting an attack. It’s a gift not something you can coach into a player. He has that feel for the game but of late given our game plan and his average form his contributions have been negligible. Fassi will offer something completely different, he will create opportunities for himself as most players do and he will do it with style Willie creates for those around him. It will be interesting to see how much the Boks will miss that when he is gone. There is a YouTube clip of Willie during the WC - the guy either initiated or was involved in virtually all the tries the Boks scored in the WC. At 32 it will be interesting to see how long Rassie and co show faith in him. My guess is for another full season at least. I do get the value Willie adds and can mostly see past those obvious mistakes he makes at times. Fassi has a good boot on him played much of his school rugby at 10 for Dale. Also played 12 for them Hendrikse of the Lions is the younger brother of the Hendrikse who played off the bench for the Boks at 9 earlier this year. Both look quality players. The 10 has a great attacking game and a big boot on him

Well,  I have not seen enough of the two Hendrikse brothers.  See both is still very young 21 and 20. Both are tall and seems to be quick. But they are too young to start dropping into the bok team and need a few seasons under their belt.

But I also see the other Hendrikse broke his ankle too.

But I agree, we need to get some cover at 10.  Bosch hasn't really been performing and has gone back into his shell.

Willemse, just doesn't have the brain for 10, seems to instinctive. I see Manie Libbok is at 10 for the stormers, but he is woeful. Similar to Willemse, has a killer step but that is about it.

I think the Smith kid looks okay at the bulls but he is just a robot, does his kicks but doesn't look to take the ball flat.

Ja,  for now I think we have Pollard, Janjties, Willemse, Frans,  Morne and Goosen.

I would definitely bring Goosen in

Hendrikse at 9 has already played for the Boks His younger brother looks like the only good young 10 in the ranks For now Pollard, Jantjies and Goosen are perfect options with an eye kept on Hendrikse to see how he develops Early signs are that he has what it takes to make the grade. Good attacking instincts and big boot.

If you say so, then it must be false. I wish you'd stop putting the touch of death upon young talent.

Dave

If Mozart and the Kindergarten Imbecile ever select a Springbok team - the team would struggle to be 0ranked higher than 10.    They have no idea about player performances and selections and knows zero about the game anyway.    I gave  up reading their repetitive drivel  that has been going on for a decade.

The re attacks on Erasmus is on a full time basis - bu8t when Meyer and Coetzee destroyed Springbok rugby  there was not a single word of  criticism of those two failed coaches.
