Who do you want to win between the cheetahs and bulls?

 As a Stormers fan the Cheetahs have been my second most favourite team in the comp for the last couple of season. Purely down to the fact that they are the smallest union and that they always produce quality rugby with quality players. 

This weekend I found myself between a rock and a hard place. If the bulls win, they can go top of the log, if the Cheetahs win, they will only secure there play-off hopes. History has proven that you need a home final if you want to win this comp. 

As a South African I want a South African team to win the Super rugby comp. My heart wants the cheetahs to win but my head says the bulls need to win it. 

  It has to be the Cheetahs for me.  Like so many Super Rugby fans, I see them as the comps "darling" team. The way they go about their business has been through hard graft, humility and team comraderie/esprit de corps. These are all admirable/affable attributes and contributes to their "universal" popularity.  Of all the non NZ teams, the Cheetahs are the only side I could be genuinely happy for if they managed to win the Super Trophy. They have the potential to be Super Rugbys first fairy tale, rags to riches team.

My heart desperately hopes the Cheetahs win (regardless of how this may affect NZ teams on the leader board) but my head says the Bulls are in ominous form and look determined to reclaim their place as SA's premiere rugby franchise. Afterall, they are SA's legacy team much like the 'Saders in NZ or Brumbies in Ausfailure. Anyways, I'm gonna go with my heart and call/hope for a narrow Cheetahs victory where the Cheetahs show HM and Morne that tries are the most productive way to apply pressure and secure points rather than the dull and myopic pursuit of penalty kicks.

As a South African I wish both teams well. But the Bulls have a psychological hold over the Cheetahs and they really struggled to cope with the Bulls 

I wish the Cheetahs win this one - support them strongly.   Wish they beat them so that they can giive Meyer the finger up when he announces the squad tomorrow night and includes all his Bulls favourites in the team

I really don't think the Bools are that good, but they are consistent. If this was Loftus it would be a no brainer. In Bloemfontein you have to give the Cheetahs  an even chance. They have defeated better teams than the Bools this year.
