Who right now is making the biggest statement as a coach in SA

My vote goes to Naka and his team. The Cheetahs are playing to their full potential. The skills in the backline have been the best of any SA side.

How would Naka do with a top flight squad. To think the Cheetahs lost Sarel, Bosman, Basson and Riaan Viljoen and have never missed a beat!.

I like the look of Piet van Zyl at scrumhalf and daniller is playing some very good rugby. Strauss is an unsung hero in the backline and Ebersohn punches above his weight. Goosen is emmerging as the best of the young flyhalves. man the wa ythe Cheetahs keep producing talent is amazing.

Only trick he may be missing is not starting with Johnston but one understands his reasons. I note with satisfaction he has beefed up his pack which is now just under a respectable 900 kg.

Honestly I won't be giving Naka all the Credit. I will give him the credit that he is Listening to Hawies Fourie, him I rate. Backline is performing, however they wont win the game if the forwards don't get their discipline at the contact point right. This game was on of the few where the forwards got that right. Talent don't help if you don't work together, and talented the Cheetahs forwards are and if they click their backline creates havoc. Lineout wise they are missing it a bit and they need some speed off the back of the scrum, Well Boom Prinsloo is at the sevens maybe when he gets back in the CC.

Regardng the best coach at this stage, no idea everyone has their own oppinion and support staff, some of them lacking with each their own strenghts. Difficult to measure.

Good points Ek. My greatest concern for the Cheetahs is that leaky defence. In terms of best coach? I would say the best coaching team instead. In that regard the Bull's have the best coaching team.

Whatever ones opinion most will agree that the Cheethas are a delight to watch and have made a big impact with their style of play and never say die approach.

That we can definitely agree on. that backline is on fire!

The point also is there is not one bok, apart from Strauss who played was it one test, in that backline. Also the forward have a few boks although here gain only Brussouw has commanded a regular spot . Strauss, Coenie and Johnston have not.

All this reflects very well on Naka and his team.  I have no doubt that if Naka had been able to keep his players he had the nous as a coach to win the Super comp.
