At the beginning of the season there was much talk about certain players.   Will Coetzee shows the form he showed in 2012?   What will Brussow produce on the comeback trail?   Who is to be the best flanks and who should be the number 8.

Looking at all aspects of the games played thus far the stand=out loosie is in fact none of th players normally  mentioned - but it is in fact Lappies Labuschagne.  He is not only the top loosie in SA - but statistically according to the Foxport ratings by a distance the top loosie in the whole competition.

Yer tbh i didnt see him evening putting a chance in there! but tbh also arno bortha can be argued to be the best loosie as well! and he wont show as good as labuschagne in fox sport as he has played less games!

Keagan

I was thinking of him as well - but he has only 3 full games and about 30 minutes off the bench thus far this season - and I felt that continuity was the norm I looked at.  I did some extensive calculations as to averhae performances and Lappies Labiuschagne came out considerably higher than Botha on virtually all counts.   That took into considerations issues like ball carries, turnovers affected, Tackles made and Line-outs won adn in each category Labuschagne per game played did considerably better than Botha did.

However, I believe that Botha is a player of the future as a flank forward and also believe that Botha and Labuschagne would make a very good flank forward combination.
