Pollard at 10 if they can find a decent center

Esterhozen was more effective than Laumape today. In fact I got the sense the last thing Laumape wanted to do was try to tackle him.

I must say I'm a little surprised to see Pollard's name heading the poll.

I thought Willemse would be the odds on favourite.

Seems I'm mistaken. Am I missing something here?

Pollard has not shown any of the form he had as a junior. He is playing better than what we've seen of him the last few years ... but not that much better. With the amount of time he's had at test level one would have thought he'd have made giants strides towards his career as a test 10. He hasn't. In other words ... we know exactly what we have in him ... and to be honest ... we need to do better.

Pollard does have a role to play though. He needs to be brought in as the starting Bok 10 ... but only to introduce Willemse from the bench ... then he can go his merry way.

He isn't a center ... so my best bet would be to see him compete with Du Preez for a spot as cover on the bench. Other than that ... he's as average as they get.
