I kind of get it. I dont support Bafana either so I cant be hypocritical and criticize these guys. I can relate to the guys who say they prefer the game played by the All Blacks because I prefer almost anyone's game over Bafana and I can relate to the guy that says as a black South African he cant relate to rugby due to representation issues - I am also the same in that regard with Bafana.

I dont support any other soccer team, but if someone plays against Bafana I am indifferent.

So - put it this way - while these guys used to get my goat - I could care less. What I dont like is the way in which these guys visit Newlands with the intention of getting in the faces of the Springbok supporters which has resulted in the violence which has lost Cape Town its right to host the All Blacks. That to me is unacceptable.

Support whichever team you want - and do it in a sporting way. I was glad to see the All Black tests taken from Newlands - not because of any provincialism nonsense - but as a statement that hooliganism in rugby will not be tolerated.

I support Bafana, it is just that I have little expectation that they will win.  

 I think it is only natural that they should support the ABs  playing the game the way it should be played 

Blue, all the Cape AB supporyers i know (4) are also Bulls supporters.

Supporting the ABs is a natural thing to do, we all want to support a winner. It's a choice though, i.e. be a whiner of a winner... it's up to you

 
I supported the All Blacks in 2011 because of the imbecile coach they replaced White with. This gravy trainer confirmed his incompetence when he selected fat John Smit as our starting hooker. That was the last straw.

I felt that by supporting the Bokke I would be saying that this kind of thing was acceptable.

I even bought an All Black jersey and had a silver fern stencil made for face paint.

Cloudy, I have to back Beans on this one. It is an openly known fact that there are a number of people mostly from the coloured community (oddly not the black community), that support the All Blacks because of the racism that was associated with the Springboks in the past. They make no secret of it. There are still racial tensions in South Africa, despite what the politically correct will tell you, and these pockets of support for the AB's, are just remnants of a divided past. I'd also like to add, any New Zealander or Australian that thinks 100% of racial tension between the Maori/Aboriginal populations and whites is gone, is either stupid or lying.

Cloudy, apartheid was a total bugger up, no denying that! So the level of discontentment in South Africa is no doubt well in excess of NZ or Aus. Which would explain the disregard for the Springbok emblem within certain sections of the population.  
I was actually just trying to point out that racial tension is everywhere, not just here. But I take your point, it is obvious enough, so there was no need for me to bring it up. 
Basically, we are in agreement.
