Fleck is a pub team coach. Maybe if he never had Alister Coetzee as his mentor things could may well have been different.... The young coaches learn the trade from a donkey coach, who learn from another donkey an so on.
I expect we shall see Willem Fat Alberts as a coach in the near future.

DCup throwing a little hissyfit...Kolisi/Fleck 's call was perfectly okay at that point in the game. The Stormers were controlling possesion.
DCup 'favourite' Duvenage is the Mom.
Funny stuff.

So all those teams kicking penalties early in the game are fools. Johnny Wilkinson was simply a tool of foolish coaches.
Let me help. A kick in front of the poles or a kick on the 10 metre line near touch will probably result in a lineout in roughly the same place.....but the kick for poles has vastly different success ratios.
The penalty to kick for touch on the 5 metre line is the hard one....the easy one is the one to quickly convert into 3 points. And then control possession as the ball is kicked back to you. The Stormers did exactly that, except Willemse shanked a simple kick, hardly Fleck's fault.

This comment from Rugby 24 pretty much settles this silly string:
'However, the Highlanders nullified the Bulls' driving maul excellently, which had previously been a key weapon for the Pretoria side. Tactically, the Bulls perhaps should have taken the three points at times.'

And then we have this from Mallett, your bible.....who makes exactly the same point:
'I thought, perhaps tactically, it would have helped the Bulls to take the three kicks [at goal] in the first half. The Highlanders have worked hard on their maul defence and once that didn’t work, I thought the Bulls should have taken the three points because the Highlanders were infringing and under a lot of pressure and you have to make them pay and build a scoreboard. If they had taken two or three of those opportunities, it might have made a difference in the end.'
Schplott ou Tokkie.....stupid but arrogant, it's a bad combination.
