Steyn played for Montpellier at flyhalf on Saturday and caused a major disaster for them against Brive - one of the poorest teams in the French Top 14 competition,


His stats read s like a disaster area.   Here are some info:-

Discipline:-

The above indicates that Fransie neutralized the Montpellier backline completely and that is a major reason for the 29--10 loss

Just a pity you failed to note he made 50% more metres per carry than his direct opponent and made more offloads than any player in the game. Are you stupid or just dishonest.

He is one dimensional, but so are most centres in South Africa. Even with only half a knee- he offers more than some. Francious Venter is a Curry Cup flat track bully, that is like a lost fart once the competition  gets tough.

I can try and give you a broader understanding of the game of rugby, but it may not have any effect.

First  of all Fransie handled the ball 29 times and passed the ball 5 times and to that 3 off-loads making it 8 times that he passed or off-loaded the ball.   Thar makes a total of 27,8% ball distribution,

His direct opponent handled the ball 34 times with a passing-off-loading of 19 balls representing a  percentage of 55,9%  


It is 100% clear - Fransie was a dud  - his opponent a flyhalf. .

Oh I see....we judge flyhalves by the percentage of passes they make. Well in the Super final Jantjies passed 68% of the time and Mo’unga 45%. I guess that makes Mo’unga a dud and Jantjies a flyhalf according to you? But oops, you can’t see anything good in Jantjies. Man you are confused Tokkie....stay away from the numbers.

No  -  a flyhalf should never be a ball hogger - something Fransie is famous for.   He is to one-dimensional and rugby non-thinker to be a real team player needed at flyhalf or center.
