simply cos the irish are the only team to go undefeated in year (2009), a respectable record in its own right.

in 2009 the irish reocrd was as follows

also worth noting that the irish really only had to travel to the US canda on their away leg, they also had to travel in the 6nats against wales, italy and scotland. but hardly a travel weary exercise.

also worth noting the quality of opponents the irish faced in 2009, some very weak teams there, USA, canada, fiji, reminds me of the Boks 2013 season.

lucky for the All blacks though, robbies wallys played the spoilers as they constantly do (2010 - All Blacks, 2012 - All Blacks), and threw a spanner in the irish works, so round of applause for deano.

All Blacks travels in 2013

ireland di F all travel in 09, 6 nats travel is nothing, its like when All Blacks travel to OZ, and in that year when ireland went undefeated, the only other place they traveled was north america to take on two minnow teams.
