ABasquefan- 100% correct. How Andy Ellis is omitted from any NZ team is beyond me. Him and Aaron Smith are head and shoulders above the rest and there are some pretty good ones in Perenara and Kerr-Barlow. Funny how the NZL selectors realise this every time it's wc year but not otherwise. Smith at 9 and Ellis at 21 and they can even switch jerseys and no one will think it's a bad move!

at 30 years old, i think hansen is correct in trusting the other youngsters like smith and barlow to lead the All Blacks, and with perenara, hall and pulu, we have no need for ellis.

form is not the only prerequisite for All Black selection, this has in many times seen players selected for the All Blacks who prob didnt warrant it, or in andys case not selected despite solid form.

If you can see the time of the post, it's very soon after the Crusaders romped the reds. I watched that game and everything I said there was the exact opposite of how I feel! Their counter attack was phenomenal. Ellis option taking was sublime. Their loosies were great. Slade was once again, perfect off the tee as he was against brumbies!
