Much has been written about the loss at Eden Park and the poor refereeing - but nobody is taking the bull by the horns and give a real assessment as to the problems in the Springbok team. The question is - where are the deficiencies in the Springbok team? I am going to be blunt and point out the most obvious deficiencies in advance and see what Meyer is going to do to correct those. * KIRCHNER He had a terrible game on Saturday - on par with his performances in Super 15 this year. His defence is basically non-existent and his kicking game poor - leave alone his poor show under high balls. He needs to be replaced asap. However, Meyer will NOT replace him and the poor show will continue. * MORNE STEYN Had a clueless game on Saturday with very poor strategic kicking being his speciality. The man has no ball sense and is deficient in BMT. Caves in when he is under pressure. Easily read by the opposition and a serious liability as a result. Meyer will do nothing to correct this one. * RUAN PIENAAR Like the year thus far for Ulster - Pienaar was pure and simply POOR. Defence was a joke - his kicking largely aimless and his service slow and ineffective. Meyer will put all his eggs in one basket and bring back Fourie du Preez. When the Springboks ran riot against the Pumas he came on and looked good - but will he be the same against stronger opposition? Nobody knows. LOOSIES The performance of Sam Cane, Messam and Read again showed us you cannot play immobile loosies against the AB's and hope for miracles. The SA loosies were just not anywhere. If we expect for Bismarck du Plessis to do their work at breakdowns - where they are not present in time because of low mobility - then we know what the real problem is. We need a change badly - but Meyer will do nothing of the kind. LINE OUT JUMPING We have only one reliable line out jumper and needs at least two other line out jumpers. We need to counter the roe of the AB loosies in the relevant regard. There is no chance that Meyer would make the necessary adjustment in this case. He will stick with Kruger and Van der Merwe - instead of bringing in real line out performers. PROPS We are deficient at tight head prop and has Steenkamp to boot. Will Meyer make a change in this case - I would said the chances are zero for that. SUMMARY Are we going to lose at Ells Park? We are and there is nothing that can be done to avoid the catastrophe since Meyer will not make changes to correct the problems as listed..

Kirchner- Not test level, positional play ok for up and unders, but is no where on chip kicks. Lambie would bring more at 15, or at 10. At 15 his kicking game is much better and he can also cut the backline and is able to pass the ball.

Morne- Predictable, and tactical kicking is often poor. Plays better in South Africa especially on the highveld, but often poor overseas.

Ruan Pienaar- past his best, slow service. Kicking game has also fallen apart. Still has some good touches but is to slow.

Loose forwards- Vermuelen is the best, but it would be good to have one loose forward that is super fast like a new Joe Van Niekerk.

Lineouts- we need PSD involved as we are throwing the ball to the front of the lineout to often.

Vermuelen is solid at the back, but we need someone in the middle like Matfield to call the lineouts. Eztebeth is jumping well but it looks every ball is going to him and this is making it easier to stop the rolling mauls.

Props- Steenkamp is a waist of time and the scrum becomes a shambles when he enters the fray, and he makes no other contribution to the game.

Jannie "miss critical tackes" Duplessis loses matches on his own.

Ceradyne As expected - the mentally-deficient cannot contribute anything to a discussion on rugby issues.

Ceradyne You knowing the laws of the game - the joke of the year. Whenever you quote the laws - a person must really start looking for the flaws in interpretation - remember the one about Club release of players??????? Is this by any chance a sex forum - you wanker?

Geez ou Maaikie but you really are hurting badly. Remember when I made the remark about you milking a mistake? Get that thread out again, and I will show you where I made a small mistake, but also be prepared to end up with a whole lot of egg on your face........... again. in any case, I will gladly take you on about the laws of the game, anyday. Haven't you had your butt kicked enough already?
