…..which was a fabulous game of rugby. Watch it if you can. Wiese certainly put in the hard yards but the abiding memory were fabulous tries by Murimurivalu and Saumaki, the last being the best ending to a match in ages. Is there a more dangerous wing in rugby than Murimurivali…..he is the closest thing Lomu I have seen.
Yeah was a very good match. Obviously as a Connacht fan the resulting was heart-breaking but credit to Leicester they never gave up.
At the moment Connacht just don't have a pack that compete and in both games against the Tigers they got destroyed in the scrum, they also lack depth as in both games they really struggled once the substitutions came and some of their first choice players went off.
Still they play a good brand of rugby and the match yesterday was certainly winnable but they just stopped playing rugby in the final quarter and got into a territorial kicking battle which they gradually lost.
Seems more and more games are won by scrumming penalties these days. Certainly the Boks eg against the Lions and Wales. A good front row is priceless in rugby terms.
