What a sore loser Will Genia is. Not one word of credit for the Sharks after their win. Instead he goes and blame the TMO. Just another typical Aussie who can't take the loss.
Will Genia is a tosser!!
I did not watch the post-match interview - had to switch to cricket asap. However, the Aussies will find reasons to blame anyone for losses - but themselves. They blame the referee, they blame the TMO - nobody could see whether a try was scored or not. Even if it was - it would sttill have meant mean a loss for the Reds. Genia was lucky - one image of him was lieing flat on his stomach on the ground in a maul - using his hands to try and work back the ball to his side. That resulted in a scrum to be fed by the Sharks - it should have been a penalty. That incident was immediately preceeding the scrum and the wild pass of McCleod - and thence to the IMO reference in respect of their "try"..
I have never seen an Aussie after a loss - giving credit to the opposition for good play - after all they are the best in the world - similar to the Yanks - so what else is new?
What's new in the zoo? All teams in this competition have at some or other time this season been on the wrong end of a TMO decision. When the footage is inconclusive, its inconclusive, end of story!
A King tosser at that and so are their fickle supporters for their disgraceful behaviour towards the referee. Did the idiots expect Kaplain not to blow the Reds up for their transgressions??? Sore losers and very bad sportsmanship. What a big contrast to Pierre Spies after his humble and dignified speech after their loss to the Crusties.
Good point green. I also note the sporting conduct of the English cricket team as opposed to the sledging Ozzies.
Booing Kaplan like that was poor stuff. Kaplan is a highly and widely respected ref.
i completely agree, blaming the referee, pfffffffffffttt.
hmmmmmmmmmmm i wonder what the definition of irony is??? LMAO
also, ive herad captains from most countries at one point or another not give credit to the opposition, while its expected of them, we have to remeber these guys are human, meaning that emotions can get the better of them, especially after a loss which no one likes. im sure after genia had some time to reflect, he would have given credit where credit was due.
also wether u love him or hate him, genia is the worlds best halfback hands down and IMO nobody comes close to him, NOBODY.
Sasuk, difference is, Genia does not have a humble bone in his body and has the inherent arrogance of an Aussie sportsman. Most people in the world seem to have a problem with the lack of humility displayed by Aussie sportspeople, and so do I.
@green,
thats ur opinon, but ive seen him give credit to the oppoisition plenty of times, way more often then not.
and i think most peole have a problem with the lack of humility in anyone, its why so many peole hate the yanks.
but i know what u mean, ive seen first hand the arrogance of aussie sportsmen, but thats something ive also seen in every country, SA nad NZ included. end of the day, ALL aussie sportsmen cant be judged because of what u see in a few players.
I guess you are right to a certain extent there Sasuk, but the Aussies do tend to make it quite hard not to have pre-conceived opinions regarding their sporting behaviour...
Anything he said is mild compared to Pieter Devilliers. At least he did not accuse the referee of cheating. Also it was a close call, and could just as easily been awared. If the ref had said is their any reason to not aware the try- it would have likely been a try.
pieter devillers would have had all types of conspiracy theories- even the Watson and JFK would have been involved.
Top marks for Pieter De Villiers for speaking out re the BL ref performance in respect of our WC match aganst Oz.
And the other games the boks lost in the tri-nations were also apparently rigged as well- just because the All blacks were hosting the Worldcup, it was ordained they would win the tri-nations- another PDV conspiracy.
Folks no need to get upset.....remember these are Aussies and Islanders.
The boat carring CLASS sailed past them decades ago.
I take offense at that Arthur ! Why not you and Bok Bef just accept the fact that your Sharks won and leave it at that! If my Team won, I wouldn't care less what the opposition captain said, he could take his clothes off and run around the field for all I care! Man, you lot are a bunch of precious princesses! Lose and you whinge, win and you still carry on! Have you lot forgotten your precious captain Smit carrying on after the Quarter Finals loss to the Tri-Nations (and S15) Champions the Wallabies? When the shoe is on the other foot.......
Genia has won Aussie player of the year and is still complaining about the refereeing decisions. It has'nt dawned on him that they were actually outclassed by the Sharks. What a wanker!!
hakwa there is no way that ship is coming bach...unfortunately.
If you think his comments after the game were the words of a class captain......
A class captain for example is John Smit who after being robbed by your BL ref in the semis against the Aussies did not have a single negative comment on the outcome but instead wished the Aussies all the best.
Remember you cannot buy class, you either have it or you don't.
Sorry!
