Actually, not much has changed. Damian is still a weak link. Against the inferior opposition our weak links looked, a little, better. Damian is still a vulnerability on defence, he still has no vision or skills. Against Wales he was fortunate that no Welsh defender attempted a tackle or else we'd have lost. That with a support runner clear outside of him. That said, against more serious opposition Rassie flows a disproportionate amount of possession through 12, especially Damian. That could mean as much as 8% of total team possession, or more. When that occurs 13 is essentially out of the game, and our wings receive roughly 1% or less (Mapimpi with 0.9% against New Zealand). So, if England stop the blunt and ineffective running of Damian, as they did at Twickenham, they genuinely do stop the Boks. That's the Bok game plan ball in hand: Run right at the opposition as many phases in the same direction until the touchline is reached and then go the opposite direction. Can the Boks do that? In the England series, where the English were implementing entirely new and, in some cases, unique structures, patterns and base plays, they already showed how inadvisable it was to open the game up, as they did hit us very hard on attack. We must be more conservative and play the percentages, taking the game away from their obvious strengths. We have the pack to do that. Our very poor backplay, underscored by our pack of talent at 12 gives them a very clear way of stalling our game. That's very unfortunate as our pack, even with the weak links like Steph, has been quite powerful.

Allende still hasn't made a centre break all WC.....his try was an accident.....he kept tractoring and nobody bothered to tackle him. For the rest it's crash into the  tackler and fall forward for a metre.

de Allende in my humble opinion is powerful and underrated in most Springbok supporters view.

The try he scored in the semi showed his strength and determination.

Sure he has had some off days, mostly when playing alongside Elton and when de Klerk is kicking the ball away.

In most other games he has received the ball and the opposing team player at the same time stopping any chance of making ground or a break.

To me he is a merit selection and more than justifies his inclusion in the WC final starting line up.

My I wonder how Allende fooled a guy like Greenwood. Shows Greenwood and others praising Allende, rematlrking on his strength etc. No is harsh criticism of Allende has resulted in a mountain of EGG racing on his detractors. Sad but true.
