2023 was in all likelihood the last chance for SA to host a WC before a very long time, if never.
2027 is going to be awarded to a country that has no big history in rugby, in order to expand the game, just as it was to Japan. The US could be a good candidate.
2031 could be awarded to Ireland as they felt they deserved it in 2023.
It could be a very long time.
Terminate rugby in SA.

With the current political climate and crime, there will probably not be that many international events held in SA.
This is the only logical reason that South Africa lost to France.
Rugby will, however, continue in South Africa. Too many people enjoy the game. Even if the Boks do decline over time- rugby will live on

Money....Scotland said they would vote for the country that produced the most revenue. Hell the world gave the Olympic games and Soccer WC to Brazil...not exactly a paragon of personal security.

One of the many delusional arguments SAns lulled themselves with.
The US criminality situation is not going to be used against them when they bid.
The cycle of attribution is going to be that: a newly rich potential client like Japan was to expand the game, then back to the european core, where the money is already settled.
List of new clients: US, Russia, China.
It is going to be a long time before the SH gets a WC.
RUgby will likely be dead in SA before it happens.
SA rugby will act as a seeding farm to other nations.

If you keep on repeating kak like this to yourself, you will eventually start believing it. Is this what has been happening here, Trad?

An echo of the plan that was set on course when the WC was attributed to France.
It was no mystery: coming to France is seen as a step to collect money to fund the expansion of rugby accross the world.
The expansion of rugby will come hand in hand with giving WC hosting rights to a new nation (must be added one from SA)
When they chose France, people validated the program.
The French kept repeating they would get the WC, even when it was shown they did not deserve it on merit.
Guess they finally made it true.

Joel Stransky mentions "the oldboys club" referencing the board.
Glad the N.Hemisphere has only won two World Cups,2 out of 9, those you cannot buy.
