.....he is out of position, makes poor decisions and so obviously wants to join the action. Given the paucity of centre talent (we actually don't have any test class centres) why not try Willemse. He is an enthusiastic tackler, a brilliant stepper and has pace to burn.
Apart from his incerception flub, Esterhozen was more purposeful than kangaroo-hopping Allende....but neither were convincing. Nor were Vorster and Sage.
And at 13, it was all toothless stuff as well.
Willie, Duhan, Rosco, Willemse, Mapimpi, Pollard, Faf. Now there you have some strike power.

Actually the pass was a proactive bit of play, Esterhozen tried to move the ball in a heavy tackle...turned out to be a mistake. But at least he tried something....Allende slows down as the tackler approaches, hops once and then tries to tractor in low gear. It's a waste of time.
Neither had good stats but Esterhozen was more committed and his boot was way better, once slicing off about 80 metres.
Allende may be the worst 37gameSpringbok ever...a total flop.

I don't know why Esterhozen was subbed, perhaps he had some kind of niggle....but his replacement was a flop, missing 2 of his 5 tackle attempts, turning over the ball once in his 2 runs for2 metres.
The fact that something was decided doesn't make it right.
And do try to stay in the present, next you'll be crying that I resurrected your old posts, which are funnier than a barrel of monkies.
Allende is making no progress, he is to all intents and purposes....useless.
