The Boks were poor today, and only played well in the last 25 minutes.

Leroux totally transformed the Bok attack when he got onto the pitch.
Given he often plays at 2nd received from fullback, why not start him at 10.

He knows how to get his backline running with his angled runs and slick passing- much better than any South African flyhalf. Leroux does not have the pace he used to, so having more as a playmaker than a finisher is better

If Willemse went to 12 instead of Delande, the wings would get into the game more.

Jessica Kriel is a small forward, he lacks the guise to contribute any brain capacity.
The sooner we get rid of this plodder the better.

It got frantic at the end, not better. We need coaching changes. It's all very stale.

Unfortunately Rassie is still up to his usual games. Trying to be innovative but completely backfired today.
We should not have lost today. Two very soft tries and a lot of chances blown.
No wonder he can't stay in a coaching gig for than 18 months.
I think Manie would have made a massive difference today or any goal kicker. Willemse tried really hard today but 10 his not his position.
Not having a recognised goal kicker on the bench really hurt us.
Kwagga made a massive impact.
Kokosi had some good tackles and a few strong runs but spend most of the game as ruck inspector rather than getting stuck in.
Our scrums and mall were easy dealt with

Our defence is about 81% for the season. Unusual. Our defence has been worrying and our attack is not good. The coaching needs to be changed.

Willie Leroux creates the game plan on the field. When he retires from rugby, perhaps he will become a coach.

In the meantime, moving him to 10, and finding a pole kicker for the starting XV could work well.

When Pollard is fit again, perhaps shift him to inside center - (or even switch between 10 and 15 with Pollard at 10 for defence, and Leroux at 10 for attack.

Willie's game is very simple: He knows where the space is, and how to manipulate defenders. If you work with him, he can get you into space. We just don't see much of that anymore because the structures are not very good. He used to be implemented in a flatter system, where the runners he put into space had a good start through the line. He is usually too deep to be effective and there isn't much movement. I think he is past his best at this point, but still a very smart player. Willie at 10? That idea was punted around a bit a decade ago. He is very small, and very susceptible to physicality. He won't go down as one of our better defenders.

Willie is not a established Flyhalf and besides he makes things happen from the 15 position and Cheslin from 14 ...maybe just swop Kurt Lee with cheslin or start Willie and give him more game time...Willemse @12 and Libbok 10 and 13 Henco van wyk....what have we got to loose.

Libbok seems the obvious choice for next week given the Boks need a pole kicker.
Or Goosen could leap frog him to start next week.

It would be good to have him get some b-team game time.
Zulu is a starting contender towards the end of the tour.

No we need a proper flyhalf at flyhalf - it’s far easier to come on in the last 20 and try manufacture something out wide when you are playing catch up rugby and circumstances dictate that approach It’s a whole different ball game controlling the game from the start at 10, having to manage the state of play The Boks have to go with Libbok at 10, on form in the past 2 seasons he deserves a go. It would be a classic case of throwing him in the deep end but we are left with no other option Play Willemse at 12, move DA to 13 - in fact they could swap between 12 and 13 all game But saying that we then lose the important cog of Kriel defensively our wide. He was invaluable there yesterday Kriel would have to be on the bench Play Willie at 15 and move Kolbe back to wing

Very much agreed on 10 Saffex. You hit the nail on the head. But I disagree with the centres. Damian cannot defend at 13, and Willemse is at most cover at 12.

Disagree Willemse’s best position is 12 by some distance. He is not a 10 at all and wasted at 15. Im not convinced about DA at 13 but given the squad and the fact that he is a must in the side it leaves little option Maybe DA at 12 and Willemse at 13 might be a better option. Willemse is a very good defender Kriel has lost his clout on attack after playing second fiddle to Am and plying his trade in Japan so we need to move on I’d be tempted to include the impressive Henco v Wyk at 13
