I saw an article earlier that mentioned Kolbe, Frans Steyn and even Gelant as alternatives @15. However, Gelant is certainly not an option...
After the game last week, I was thinking that Kolbe could be a better option at 15 as he is safer under the highball. Kolbe also has more firepower to counter-attack from 15.  If Willie Leroux shifted to left-wing (where he started out for the Boks and Cheetas) to replace Mapimpi, then Nkosi could play on the right-wing.
Leroux could play a roaming role from the wing, where he enters play at the second receiver to create an extra man in the backline. This is how he first made a name for himself. His finishing skills have been lacking for a while, but his playmaking skills have been underutilised. He may even have lost a bit of pace, and strength.
Frans Steyn is an option at 15. He does not have much pace, but his experience in the game might let him read the game and get into the right positions on defence and attack.
At least the rest of the group stages will give Rassie some opportunity to test different combinations. Last week against the All Blacks was just not good enough, and shaking things up a bit will also make the Boks more unpredictable and harder to plan against.
The All Blacks counter-attack has exposed the rush defence, and having a poor challenge on the high ball brings in too many individual unforced errors.

Nope. Fransie should stay on the bench and Willie at 15. The team should stay as it is...injuries forcing the only changes....after th e Nam match.

This back-three would be much better.

11. Willie LeRoux

15. Kolbe

14. Nkosi

Mapimpi is a great finisher in space, but he offers little else. Nkosi can at least bust tackles, and this combination brings one power player into the back three. The kicking game of Kolbe is also better than Leroux, in addition to being a better tackler on the last line of defence- and safer under the high ball.

We can kiss our WC hopes goodbye if Frans started at 15. His lack of pace and agility would be sorely exposed

Delande was tried at 13 by Meyer, but his defence was very poor at the time. Maybe better now, as this seems to be an area of his game where he has improved.

Hasn’t Kriel played 15 before? Thought he might be worth a shot as he’s got great acceleration and generally difficult to tackle. Willie certainly doesn’t seem to have any confidence to run at present.

Willie is useless. Has been for a very long time.

He's a stupid rugby player, prone to brainfarts all the time.

How he made a squad is betond me.

But of course ...Dave Stupid thinks' he's a rugby god.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaaaa!!

Poor Dave.
