I tried, I really tried to watch that video in its entirety. What a steaming pile of dung. What do we first "learn"? The Wallabies beat the Boks "playing like the Boks usually play". Really? Is that a fact? If this is how Saffers see the game, if this is what they truly believe, then no wonder José has it so easy. The Wallabies couldn't have been farther removed from anything we have ever seen from the Boks in the past twenty-years! Certainly nothing we have seen under the bumbling José and Krutch. How can these "experts" get it so wrong? How little must one understand of the game of rugby from an xs and os standpoint to come away with these conclusions?
What else do we learn? There's no shame in playing ugly. World Cup finals aren't glorious displays of rugby. The Boks played very expansively in the world cup, and they are very capable of playing expansively now (The Wallaby series was the Bok side doing its utmost to play expansively; it was a spectacular failure). The Lions series was "the most infinitely draining series", and that was the priority due to rarity. The ugly playing style was specifically chosen to get results, not because the coaching team can't get the team to play any better.
The blind, leading the stupid. Nothing new under the sun. What a waste of my time. Weak talk for a weak team coached by the poster boy of weakness. Ende.
