The Boks sit at number 1 in the world and are current IRB world champions.
It is a good team, of that there is no doubt.
However, I suspect the All Blacks will take over the number 1 position before long.
The Boks win enough games to be 2nd in the world, but they need to be more consistent in using their backline attack to put teams away. This will mean fewer close games that could go either way, and more convincing wins.
The Boks will have periods of domination during a game. However, when the rolling maul does not get going, they are not scoring enough points. Only in some games, but the backline attack needs to be more consistent in all games.
The Boks rely on the 2nd half performance of the bench- especially Marx, but sometimes a team will take their chances and get too many points for a comeback.
The Lions in the 3rd test butchered 2 certain tries in the first half, and that could have put them away. Fortunately, they did not get these tries, and then the Bok bench did enough to score more points.
