This was so tense for 60 minutes and then the ABs went on a knockout spurt. Barrett and Reid were huge, so was Smith. The ABs clearly had a plan to target the kickoffs and the mauls, and boy did they execute well. No excuses.

For the Boks our loosies did well, two great breaks by Louw and Vermeulen for tries. Etzebeth was great value and our scrum was our strongest point until the subs came on, courtesy of the Beast . In the backs Habana Willie and Jean were huge....Jean's try was almost super human. Du Preez had a messier base but still did well. I'll comment on the negatives some other time.

Loved Morne knocking over Retallik.....Bond gets rid of Jaws! Congrats again All Blacks and best to all our AB posters.

Mozart: This was what we were all waiting for.
I like to think that even if we weren't fans of one side or the other we would have loved the game anyway. I guess we will see what Redsman thinks, lol
Congrats to the Boks and their fans as their side proved they are back & IMO will only get better.

Yes at least it was a contest. You see what bent refs rob us of.Moz there were a number of silly error s that cost us. However we can look forward with confidence to 2014.

Well I suppose that's as close to a AB compliment we are going to get from Beeno.

Well done Bokke.

Huge difference between the 2012- and the 2013 Bokke. Things look good. Looking forward to PSdT getting into the squad and the return of Arno Botha...... and maybe Johan Goosen.

No clear answer for tighthead yet.

Nice sentiment Moz - appropriate for the effort and quality of the game we just witnessed. The negatives can indeed wait
MOM could easily have been Nigel Owens. Under intense pressure but showed composure, control and was fair. Best use of replay and discussion between himself and the replay assistant.
He deserves a lot of credit for allowing the game to be what it was.
Remarkable what Meyer has done with the shambles he inherited from P Divvy. He has the boys playing with confidence and belief.
Will be interesting to see how he uses the EOYT. Very important to keep winning but there are several youngsters that we need to get a gauge on. One thing we can know for sure is that he has a plan and will execute it.

Papa even though we were beaten by a very good team, I enjoyed every moment of that test. Absolutely looking forward to next year.

Blikkies  I agree we need  a partner for Eben, maybe Steph and Arno looked good before his injury.

Great game and the better side won in the end.
Our weak link was Morne defensively.......he was a liability.
Beast and Bismark were good, Jannie was ok. Etzebeth was huge, Kruger was nowhere and Franco was even worse.
The loosies were good and Kolisi took it even further.
du Preez was at best solid, Morne was poor.
Jean and JJ were great on attack, both had great games.
Willie and Habana were very good. Kirchner was back to his poor ways

Oimatey I agree about Meyer improving things a lot considering what Div left him. I just wonder if we'll ever be able to catch up on the loss of momentum that was created when Pdv was forced into the Bok setup. Nowadays 4 years is a VERY long time to waste in top flight rugby, but I guess if anyone can make it up it's HM. I long for those glory days of utter dominance in the first two thirds of last century, hope we can get back there.

Congrats to the ABs & their NZ supporters.... to win emphatically away from home is the hallmark of a champion team . Another epic battle won't be forgotten .

Indeed moz, great test. Both teams showed great discipline, considering the atmosphere.  I had my concern. But I knew that of all teams to lose to I can deal with losing to SA far better than most. Because it is the hardest challenge in world rugby by any standard. Because of the crowd influence , did ya hear it the roar every break. And the SA crew, you have to admire the commitment of the Springboks. And there attitude the whole game. It was a pity to lose Habana so early he was looking awesome.

I am very proud of the All Blacks. That is a achievement of the decade. So many great AB have failed. That is a tribute to your team and country. For keeping the true spirite or what test rugby is all about. Well done SA. I hope to see SA continue there aggressive rise. And they will beat the AB .....no doubt in that.
