World Cup Finals Predictions
Boks 19 Eng 10.
Boks 30 England 6
I predict I will fall asleep.Eng by 10, Go Boks!
Springboks by 6 points.
England 19 - 3
Jerome 20 - 0 Rugby
Final: Head - England; Heart - Springboks
I am rather surprised by the predictions. In the last four matches between SA and England all -played in 2018 - England lost 2 matches and won 2 matches, The last time the two teams met in 2018 at Twickenham the SA team was somewhat weakened by the absence of players playing for NH clubs - since the game was played outside of the test window periods prescribed by WR - and some injuries - yet the England team only won the match by 1 point and was likely to lose the game if the Referee did not foul up in the last minute of the game.
As to England - they actually played Wales this year three times and lost in two games. They also drew with Scotland in the 6-Nations game and they were second on the log in the 6-Nations.
As to beating the AB's I was a bit amazed at the match performances by the AB's and would not use that game as the alpha and omega to determine the outcome of the final. However, I think the Springboks like being called the underdogs in the game and I believe that the winning margin by either side will be less than 7 points.
Mozart and his confreres must by now be praying full time for an English victory. At least Red Rose - the latest user name of AO - is in full fight against the Springboks.
Everybody is gauging England's strength by the way they beat NZ.
NZ beat SA by 10. England beat NZ by 12, therefore England should beat SA by a margin of 22 ....but rugby does not work like that.
Go Bokke!!!
SOUTH AFRICA vs NEW ZEALAND
England is the more complete team. They are rightfully the number one side in the world, and have been playing a very good brand of rugby throughout the past four years. To argue otherwise wreaks of sour grapes. That said, I always stated I'd much prefer England over Wales or Ireland. We match-up far better and possess the necessary tools to negate key aspects of their gameplan. We can keep them in the wrong areas of the field, we can dominate the breakdowns and we can dominate the set pieces. Dominance at the breakdown has been the strongest aspect of our game in this World Cup, and success in this facet, against England, will take the sting out of their slick and enterprising attack structures. In short, it allows us to load the line after each phase under considerably less pressure, denying England the chance to effortlessly get behind our weaker defenders and run us ragged . If we can achieve this, the game becomes an arm-wrestle, one which we can win. We must be in control early, robing England of their blistering starts. We've done that before, most notably at Twickenham. Our pack were immensely dominant that day, in fact, so dominant that I simply cannot foresee a replication of that game for the foreseeable future. We don't need to be that imposing, however, but it does raise a red flag: Finishing. We are a terribly blunt force, and if we cannot turn dominance into points, we will struggle. This has been a common problem throughout the Rassie era. We simply have to convert opportunities whilst we are on top.
In short, I predict the Boks will bring their famed physicality. I predict they'll be imposing at lineout and scrum time as well as fight tooth and nail at the breakdown. It'll be a tough trench war. We can win that, and I believe we will win it.
South Africa (24) vs England (12)
NEW ZEALAND vs WALES
This is going to be a much easier call. Die Schwarzewelle will come out blazing and cut a heavily depleted and demoralised Welsh side apart. It won't be pretty, but the strike power of the All Blacks will be too much to contend with.
New Zealand (37) vs Wales (17)
poms by 20+
sorry saffas... you dont have the hands - poms are slick in the backs and will match you in the forwards...
I have just got to Tokyo, have a ticket and call the Books by 8.

Nice try mate, but Eng were missing Watson, Tuilagi, M Vunipola, B Vunipola, Underhill, Marler, Joseph, Lawes last year as well.
Wales only beat Eng in Cardiff by small margins, at Twickenham or on neutral turf they get battered, and Eng played their 2nd string v Wales both home and away in the WC warm ups.
Got it on one Ruggerz! Its scary how big our scores are the last year... since November we scored 35+ points 11 times which is played in 16 games. We can score big a lot of the time and thats against the big boys such as wobblies, kiwis, irish, wallies, scotland, argies, japan, bokkies, frogs etc... thats all the best teams right there. But hey El Draado still thinks its a new thing since last weekend. Stupid clowns dont know shit about the game.
Not in the June tests lost by England - the whole lot played in those two matches. 13 of the players who played in the November 2018 test at Twickenham are playing again today. Only the two Vunipola's were absent - but really not a factor in the June tests. Matter of fact they were not even remotely living up to their reputation in the June tests.
I think that it will be a very tight affair today and that in the end the Springbok forwards will be superior and De Allende will put Farrell in a place where he really belongs - a center the latter is NOT.
BOKKE 17
England 16
Poms by 20.
