Not sure which 4 will be cut, but the most likely players to get the chop are in bold.Dyanti is unfortunately out of the world cup.

I am concerned over the form of Willie Leroux. He may have to be dropped for Kolbe, but Kolbe hasn't been given many chances at XV for the Boks. Frans Steyn could have been tried as well. His territory kicking game could be a good way to keep the opposition in their own half. Steyn might not have the pace for XV anymore, and the opposition might try using that.
Inside centre is still a problem area, but Frans Steyn is a better bench option than Carthuizen/ Delande is likely the starter.

Rassie & Sharkbok's likely Bok RWC starting team with bench options:
1. Beast/ Kitshof2. Bongi /Marx (The throw-in's of Marx are currently a problem. Maybe he will get top form )3. Nykana / Flab Malherbe (Nykani can also play loosehead)4. Etzebeth/ Snyman (Lomp might be included as a specialist blindside lock)5. Mostert (Can cover blindside flank)6. Kolisi/ Louw (Louw has experience in all back-row positions, and he can fetch)7. Stephanie (covers lock)8. Vermeulen
9. Faff/Jantjies10. Pollard / Elton Jantjies (Pollard can cover inside centre)12. Delande / Steyn will be included as he has experience in all backline positions13. AM/ (can play both centres)14. Kolbe (covers fullback, and perhaps scrumhalf)11. Nkosi (can cover outside centre)15. Leroux

I'd drop Thomas du Toit.....he breaks the rule that something is better than nothing. Vincent Koch....he inspires no confidence in his primary role. Marvin Orie...... the quota's quota Cobus Reinach....sadly the spell in England hasn't fixed his issues. Warrick Gelant.....so much hype, so little beef. Pieter Steff du Toit......one of the slowest left wings in the game. But if he is selected as a forward ....drop Allende, 38 tests with 4 tries and not one match changing moment is all we need to know.

Mozart Madness going strong,

Obvious deletions are Steyn. Esterhuizen, Gelant and Ori.

However the figure is 31  - not 32

Sp another one or two will have to go since I believe that Willemse may be called up as soon as Erasmus have a full report about the CC match last week.

It is maybe a year or 2 early for Willemse. Rassie has also said he is not considering injured players that have not had much game time.

Good to see Frans Steyn there. Hope he finds his way into the starting fifteen. Rassie has a special spot for fransie, the only remaining bok to have won a RWC.

Damian, Kolisi, Lood, Coetzee, Reinach. They do not deserve to be at the World Cup. I'd select Mapoe ahead of Kriel. One could add Gelant, Orie, Koch. I prefer Schreuder to Herschel.

Herschel looks good in broken play. Can he take command? He hasn't proven that. Opportunistic and elusive, but these are not going to be enough at the World Cup. Schreuder is the better general. He also finished the season as the top South African for try assists. I think his pass is better, especially the long dart.

Augi, you're out on a limb with Shreuder, fine if you're after pedestrian, worse is to his side where there's plenty of it.......I prefer the snap, crackle and pop from lightening fast, Herschelle.

Herschel is a better 2014 Reinach. These types don't suit the Bok brand. Worse still, he will be required to apply himself in a very conservative gameplan. Can he kick? We don't know. Can he pass? No especially well. He is a fast runner. Is he a better 9 than Schreuder? He hasn't proven that yet. Against good teams (he hasn't faced a particularly good team this year) that running will be schackled. Look at Papier on tour. Rassie is taking a bit of a gamble.

Can't really understand why you rate Schreuder, Auge. He didn't do one thing that impressed me in all the SR games I watched this year - so passive. Even the semi-hopeless Cameron Wright looked like an upgrade when he replaced Schreuder in one of the games.

Accept that whatever AO writes on site is BS in the extreme and accept the exact opposite from what he wrote as correct.   The man i s a total rugby illiterate who considers scoring of tries as irrelevant when it goes to winning of games.

So the upshot is that the 2015 team scoring 7 tries and finished last on the log losing all three matches were better coached and played better rugby than the Trophy winners scoring 12 tries was worse performers,  That type if comparison is so stupid - it is unbelievable       .

Louis Schreuder was nothing short of useless in the 2019 Super Rugby comp. The only reason he got game time was because he was captain and Robert du Preez didn't want to humiliate him and strip him of the captaincy mid-season.
However, when he was on the field, Schreuder was throwing poor passes, making weak tactical kicks, missing tackles, kicking out on the full and generally screwing up everything he attempted.
Hard to believe that anyone would even suggest that he be part of the Springbok squad but when you see that the person calling for his inclusion is the same person who told us that Zane Kirchner was better than Israel Folau, Oupa Mohoje was better than Richie McCaw and Morne Steyn was better than Dan Carter then you take it from whence it comes and just have a laugh.

Schreuder is a player than many SA coaches have rated since he was a junior. He has shown signs of promise, but some players are good with more time and space, but crumble as the tempo gets too fast

Not as mind-boggling as it seems. When all is said and done, we don't have a complete scrumhalf. I don't like any of the skills across the board. Our passing from 9 is mediocre, our kicking is even worse. Herschel is that kind of player that thrives in space, but cannot control a game. Schreuder is a general with more rounded skills and a proven ability to create scoring opportunities for those around him. Right now our best 9 is Faf, due to his disruptive play off the ball and ability to read play. He also ranks highly for assists. He is Januarie 2.0. Next? For a time Papier and van Zyl. Schreuder overtook both of them. It's a gamble selecting Herschel as our #2. It seems Rassie is relying on "x factor" to compensate for the limitations of a painfully dour and simplistic as well as predictable gameplan. This is insufficient at the highest level.
