1   England         -            92,29

2   South Africa   -            90,71

3   New Zealand  -            89,92

4   Wales            -            87,21

5   Ireland          -            84,45

6   Australia        -            81,90

7   France           -            80,88

8   Japan            -            79,28

9   Scotland        -            79,23

10 Argentina       -            78,31

Just a few questions:-

*   When last was South Africa above New Zealand in the rankings?  It might be in 2009?

*   When last did South Africa had a ranking above 90?  was it perchance also in 2009?

*   Could SA go to the top if they beat England in the final?

*   Would Mozart, AO, Pakie and CC have seizures if SA beat England in the final?

A one point win for SA and a one point win for Wales would result in:

SA 93.03

England 89.97

Wales 89.75

New Zealand 87.38

Ranking points are doubled for the RWC final to compensate for the importance of the match. A win for SA combined with a loss for NZ will make it fairly difficult for the kiwis to catch up and reach the top again for a while.

A win for NZ will keep them at no 2 and much closer to SA. So, the game against Wales becomes quite important for them if we manage to beat England.

Wins for both England and NZ will leave England, NZ, SA and Wales with 93.87, 91.38, 89.03 and 85.75.

There is no way kiwis are best in the world. you green eyed underlings can just stew in your juices! Hahahahaha!!! Heres the real farce the Bokkies havent beaten anyone significant all tourny but creep up the rankings anyway. Thats the real joke. Your not number 2 in reality and kiwis would have knocked you losers out if they played you instead of you playing wales. Of course youll just puff out your chest and talk about how great you USED to be and suck your thumb. Pathetic!!

All we need of course is some long blown explanation from the Pakster as to why SA shouldn't be 2.

Mr Bean the Bokkies are #2 because and ONLY because they got double points for beating crap teams. Our side of the draw was loaded and we destroyed them all now you make excuses for why you think the team that coulsnt play good rugby against minnows is BETTER than us. Your having a fucking laugh Bean. After this weekend youll be back to 3 and then next year youll fall back to 5th/6th. Thats where your donkeyball players belong.

Try again. It is only in the final that double points get awarded.

“ Different matches have different importance to teams, and World Rugby has tried to respect this by using a weighting system, where the most significant matches are in the World Cup Finals. Points exchanges are doubled during the World CupFinals to recognise the unique importance of this event. “

NZ are still the best side but hopefully SA will be changing that in the near future Only once a side starts to beat the Kiwi’s more than they lose to them can they claim to be the best in the business

Rosie, you can start beating your chest the day you Poms actually wins a series in NZ or SA...ATM the SH teams play you mostly on your single home venue and you still have a negative ratio against us and NZ. You lot surprised a overconfident Alblack team and you beat a depleted Ausie team...you haven't won the WC yet. Ranking no1 does not equate to being the best. Go ask Wales.

Actually Draado in this century we have a better record on our turf. We also have a better record away from home against kiwis than you do! a lot better. We also beat you away in australia too. Does it make you sad that we are better against your own rugby champ. buddies on their turf than you are??? Yep, fort altitude.
