Both Kolbe and PSDT have been nominated for the World Rugby Player of the year award. Can't attach the link compliments of a combination of my mobile phone and a lack of IT ability, but ya'll will just have to take my word for it. The other nominees are Ardie Savea, Alun Wyn Jones, Tom Curry, and the American fella, Joe Taufete'e.

Some here will be pretty disappointed to see PSDT's name up there, considering how poor a rugby player he is.

"There is no cure for stupid"

I understand how arduous it is living with this debilitation, but I implore you not to abandon hope in our rehabilitation of Lügnerin.

To the topic.

A South African win would be as bizarre as McCaw winning it in 2009. Neither player has done enough to be considered best in the world. We have more deserving Boks. The Boks can upgrade the team by dropping Steph from the squad entirely, and Kolbe has yet to be utilised effectively.

Liza Page aka AO

Madness reign supreme with the idiots on site,    You want Esterhuizen and Mostert nominated I assume.   You think I learn anything from the idiocy spouted by you on site?   Sure I do - it teaches me not to make a fool of myself like you always do.

Talk about the EGG landing.

You folk denying how superb Du Toit has been really should admit you got it all wrong.

This is about as daft as ou rooitwit saying Schalk Burger was useless then Schalk being IRB Player of the Year!

But ask the nutter how good was Schalk and he will doubtless still say he was useless. Can the Du Toit bashers do better than rooitwit.

It's actually quite embarrassing to promote Steph now; Rassie has been steadily moving away from Steph as our primary ball carrier, replacing him with Lood. Neither player achieving much in that regard. In terms of defence, he is as vulnerable today as he was last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. The film doesn't lie. So, if Steph is what you say he is, best player in the world, then you must conclude that Rassie is an imbecile for shifting emphasis onto another player during this very tournament! You can't have it both ways, either Rassie is right and I am right, or Rassie is an idiot ad I'm an idiot. Lügnerin, I know this a rather tall order for you, so I will let that sink in for the next hour. Choose your next move carefully.

Lizatjie

Any prove of that shit you spout?   De Jager was brought in because Mostert is too physically-deficient to be a lock at all.   He is not taking over the role from Du Toit dimwit - he is taking over from Mostert at lock.   How twisted have your contributions become - nitwit?  LMAO

Some pretty average picks there by the looks of it.

No Himeno, Matsushima, Scott Barrett, Itoje ... ?

Kolbe? How did he make the list? He's not bad but the best in the world .. haaaaaaaaaahahahahahaaa!!

PSDT ... he may have been consistently good over the last two or so season but to crack the nod for best player of the year ... I don't think so.

Savea has had a very good season and he deserves to be listed.

I'd give it to Itoje ... or Curry.

Go England!!!!!

CC

Stop the nonsense - Scott Barrett is totally useless  - he is a card and penalty king - and is not on par - he is the one player who will not make the grade.  Even in the game against Wales he gave away three penalties today.   Lucky not to get carded for that.

He is definitely not a candidate and should never have been. The two Japs was very average against SA and as for Itoje - he is a duplicate of Mostert and that does not make him a candidate.

The other candidate Ardie Savea never looked top class against the Springboks over the past 15 months.   He is  a hard working player and may be a real candidate.

Curry spoiled his reputation in the semi where he made 6 tackles and missed 3 and also gave away two penalties.   Not very good that is.  He will have to be exceptionally good tomorrow to be in contention.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaaa!!

Stupid Dave at his best.

You should post more often Davey, my boy. This board has been a real bore lately.

We can use a funny character like you.

Sooooo ... go ahead ... give us your world rugby player of the year. You know you wanna.

This should be worth a laugh.

I clearly said it is likely to be between Savea and Du Toit.   It is you who added names to the list - not me.

Your anti-Springboks campaign is a joke - time to start supporting the team is overdue.

Ok ... so you've resisted the temptation ... and you have no name to offer up a s a candidate.

lol!!!

Sorry Mike ... I'm not like you.

I didn't self my people out by joining the ANC for self enrichment ... and I won't be supporting their Quota Goats either ... not in this life time.

Your only candidate for player of the year is ... PSDT.

He is a good player but by no means the best player on the planet this year.

Not by a long shot. Scott Barrett is by far a better loosie / lock than your long necked boy.

Really, Stupid Dave ... you usually do.

How many times have we not seen you list 50 players names that have no business in the Goats squad. Guys like Elton Jantjies and JJ Engelbrcht. Remember them? Test match flops!

Why change now, Stupid?

I missed you you, Stupid Dave. Your take on anything rugby has always entertained me. I do hope you'll stay a little longer this time.

Glorious delusion.....Stephanie culpable in the Bridge try, culpable in the Adams try.....a non factor at the breakdown, no passing skills, unable to break tackles, can't be relied on at the lineouts which is why he is playing flank.

He tries hard and makes lots of process tackles.

Mozart

That Welsh try you blamed Du Toit for  was the biggest lie you ever concocted and that takes some doing,   You were even told by your minions that you are talking shit.   When I caught you out you came up with the story that Du Toit should have tackled the Welsh scrummie - thus preventing the ball from going wider,   Between Du Toit nd the scrummie was Faf tackling Vunipola and Du Toit could never get to the scrummiem unless he break some high jump record or developed wings to fly.  Are you not ashamed to be caught out lying again and again?

What try of Bridge are you talking about?  That is a new one for the site,   The shit coming out of you remains endless.

You got no quality flanks. its just how it is. Louw WAS good but can he start a full 80?? Dunno. So no got no quality starting flanks. Kinda odd because you lot always had depth in the backrow. Anyways, we have the better back rowers and Curry and Underghill have been miles better than du Toit or Kolisi. You dont have ONE player good enough to be a legit player of the year. Not a damn one!!

The two English nominees did not have a good final - not even a good semi against the AB's.   To the winner goes the spoils and I think Du Toit is likely to win the Player of the Year award, with Kolbe also having a chance.

Mostert, Eben, Tendai, Willie and most of all... faf. Faf was by far your best player all tourny. Mapimpi was awesome. Pollard was massive. But... the tight 5. Its all about the tight 5.

I think after winning the Rugby Championship, the RWC and reaching the number 1 ranking we all know who was on the right track re coach and players and who was not.Who got it right most of the time and who got it wrong most of the time. A number of people got it wrong re Rassie despite my many warnings. Basically the same people got it wrong re Malherbe, Du Toit (a big blunder) Allende.Time to admit the error of your ways and move on.
